Playing through Life
Intelligent character development; an engaging communicator with an excellent command of language. He’s a performer who fully inhabits his roles and invites the audience to join him in play. I highly recommend Mark West and I’d work with him again in a heartbeat.
On August 19, 2008, Mark West played as one of the characters in CATS, performed at Rock Valley College Starlight Theatre. Watching how he moved his body like the movements of a cat was quite mesmerizing. Also, he had to design his own facial makeup to resemble the cat character he was playing. That was just phenomenal! He had to make sure on each night of the multiple performances that his face looked the same as it did the night before. It was quite interesting how he made that happen.
I have viewed the talents of the actor/host in many, many events in the Chicago area and beyond. He comes to every performance fully prepared for the work ahead. He performed as Buckingham in “Richard III” in Chicago. His mastery of the intricacies of Shakespeare was impressive, to say the least. One Chicagoland critic called his performance “notable”. I would highly agree.

Hello! My name is Mark West and I am an accomplished actor, host, model, and voiceover artist based in Los Angeles. I got my start on the stage and screen living in Chicago and bring with me a more raw and visceral acting style that transcends "performance" and becomes a truly engaging experience. Offscreen I use my voice and love of storytelling to produce audiobooks, my podcast "Real Talk with Mark West," and host storied dinner parties at restaurants throughout the city.
I've always had a heart for the simple joys and there's nothing more exciting to me than connecting with other people on a deep and personal level. The benefits are immeasurable, and it only costs me my attention; me tuning into all the great and wonderful things happening around me right now. I try to face each new day with child-like amazement and wonder.
