Rhoda Twumasi is a Ghanaian born, Toronto raised, Saskatchewan residing Marketing Consultant and Blogger. She spends her days working in the corporate world, and nights and weekends working with entrepreneurs to grow their businesses through strategic marketing.
Oprah is one of Rhoda’s biggest inspirations because it is from the media powerhouse that Rhoda learned the power of storytelling. At the age of 15 Rhoda began her career as an entertainment reporter doing interviews and writing for the Youth Culture publication Verve Girl Magazine. At 16 she became a television personality writing and performing skits for CBC after-school programs, and hosting at Much Music. While most are content to simply be at a live concert jamming out to their favorite artist’s performance, you’d most likely catch Rhoda backstage, interviewing celebrities like Wyclef Jean, John Legend, Marc and Craig Kielburger, Matt Damon, Usher, Melony Durant, and Mario. She also wrote, produced and hosted her own show on Toronto’s City TV called Urban Pulse with the aim of representing the minority voice and celebrating their contributions to society.
Rhoda studied at the University of Toronto, where she received her B.A. Degree with Honors, Ryerson University where she received an M.A. in Media Production, and Seneca College where she received a Diploma in Broadcast Journalism.
In 2013 Rhoda took a leap of faith and moved to Melville Saskatchewan to work as a Communications Consultant and recently launched her website where she blogs about business, beauty and finding balance among it all.
