Matthew is able to capture Cash with that deep voice and tones that set the stage for a “Ring of Fire”. “When people say I can't do it, or I should give up. This drives me to continue to become a bigger and better artist”.
What a lovely young man. He was very kind and considerate. The sweet young man sang so beautifully and brought a smile to my husband's face that I haven't seen since we went to see Johnny Cash and June Carter at the Jackson County Fair in 1969. Everyone at the reunion got so into the show. He even got the attendees to participate in a song. Recommend Highly.
Response from Matt Wetmore JCTA:
Thank You!!! I enjoyed performing for you! Hope to see you next year!

A blast back to the 1950's... Go through the birth and death of Johnny Cash's Music.
Matthew Wetmore is a 18 year old up and coming artist from Jackson, Michigan. He is a Johnny Cash Tribute Artist and has been for as long as he can remember. Matthew enjoys performing for adult care homes, Fairs, festivals, and events, or anywhere he can display his talent. Matthew grew up listening to Johnny Cash with his dad, and that's where his love for the man in black began. After high school Matthew wants to go to Trevecca Nazarene University to continue music and acting. Many people ask Matthew why he choose to sing Johnny Cash over any other country star that's ever existed, and he simply answers with, "I love Cash, I always have and I always will. My voice fits the part and I want people to see that. Just because an artist has passed doesn't mean the music cannot live on.” Matthew shows in his performance each part of Cash’s life as he progressed from 1955 to 2003. Matthew is able to capture Cash with that deep voice and tones that set the stage for a Ring of Fire. When people say I can't do it, or I should give up. This drives me to continue to become a bigger and better artist. It is what I love doing, and if you think I can't I will prove you wrong.
