Fabulous energy and skill. Great musical selections, truly a band for a party.
Response from The New Iberians Zydeco Blues Band:
Many thanks!
We hired the New Iberians to help celebrate our mother's 80th birthday party out on our patio. They were reallly good and the whole family and our friends were up and dancing! So much fun. Strong recommend!
Response from The New Iberians Zydeco Blues Band:
Thanks so much, it was a pleasure helping your family celebrate your mom's birthday. Hope we can be there for the 90th!
The New Iberians were set up and ready to play 30 minutes ahead of time. They sounded great and had the crowd dancing. We would hire them again!
Wanted fun, can’t stop dancing kind of music and these guys delivered. Each member is a wonderful talented musician. Thank you.

The band can provide entertainment for small or large audiences, and is upbeat and fun to watch, and even better to dance to. They have extensive experience with event and wedding planners, and can provide a full package, including stage, sound system and lights. Their material is suitable for all ages and includes original and traditional songs from a wide range of sources, including Cajun, and Zydeco, plus Blues, Country and New Orleans Rock and Roll. Requests for your special occasions are welcome if submitted in advance.
The New Iberians were formed from the ashes of another band, Mumbo Gumbo, at the close of the 1990's. The current line-up of Evan Shlaes on vocals and Accordion, Clark Salisbury on Guitar, Michael Brummell on Harmonica and vocals, Paul Bassette on Frottoir (rub board) Fred Ingram on Drums and Linc McGrath on Bass has been active since 2011. Based out of Portland Oregon, the band travels extensively around the Pacific Northwest, bringing their brand of cheery, Louisiana Spiced music to happy audiences from SF to BC and points in between.
The New Iberians fit handily on a 20 x16 foot stage.
We require a professional sound system with a minimum of 16 inputs and two monitor mixes across 4 wedges. (We can supply our own sound system suitable for venues up to 500 seats on request)
For most performances we require at least one hour setup time.
