I show corporations how to be LGBTQ+ inclusive. I also teach healthcare organizations LGBTQ+ Patient-Centered Care. As a gay woman and doctorate-prepared nurse, I use a nonjudgmental and simple approach that is well-received by audiences nationwide. Before you know it, you'll be in the know of all things LGBTQ+!~

Excitement and passion are delivered about a topic that can be uncomfortable for some. Expect humor, cause I just can't help myself. Also, I share poignant stories about my experiences as a gay woman in corporate and as a nurse and patient. I'm picture-oriented because a picture paints a lot of words, right? Expect funny mixed with seriousness to get my point across. Expect to be inspired and have your interest peeked and maybe have your unconscious bias challenged. I consider my talks to be transformative. Audience members leave saying, "mmm...I never even thought about that!" Then yes! I know I've succeeded.
Not another boring bio folks. Bottom line, I’m a doctoral-prepared registered nurse educator and bestselling author who loves helping clinicians and healthcare organizations. I’m gay so I guess that makes me a gay nurse educator! I recognized a huge LGBTQ+ knowledge gap within myself and within organizations. Instead of groaning about it, I decided to grow about it. So, I went back to school to get a bunch of extra letters after my name to look smart so people would listen to what I have to say. It seems to be working most times. Here’s the tea: us gay folks are everywhere. My mission is to empower organizations with rainbow inclusion and to transform how healthcare is delivered to the LGBTQ+ community. As my Mom says, “when you know better, you do better.”
