Gypsy Jazz was made for community bonding and family communication. Gypsy jazz is full of those $10,000 chords and licks that only the gypsy players ever figured out how to play and passed on to a select few. The gypsy book contains those exotic gypsy tunes, the American songbook classics, and well-loved jazz standards.
While having earned two Bachelors and one Masters degree in music, Aaron considers his practical education to have come from performing with international guitar heroes, including Joscho Stephan, Bjorn Thoroddsen, Robin Nolan, Denis Chang, Richard Smith, Greg Koch, Dave Beegle and Olli Soikkeli. Aaron continues his studies under the remote tutelage of Gonzalo Bergara.
They were exactly what a 20's party should have. Appreciated their willingness to travel so far too!
Aaron got together a great group and played for my wedding at a cabin in the mountains. He did a couple requests for our first dance and for a song my wife wanted to sing for me. By the end of the night we were all sitting and listening, since the musicianship was so impressive. I would absolutely recommend him and his group!
Despite being attacked from three directions by the inexorable advance of five full phalanxes of Puget Sound garden slugs, Aaron and the band played on brilliantly! Great entertainment and dancing for all ages, simply delightful. Hope to have them back next year. Thanks, guys!
Wow! We hosted a 1920's themed school auction this past weekend and EVERYONE raved about Aaron & Gypsy Jazz Menagerie! As the co-chair, it was so nice to have them arrive even before we had anticipated, ready to set up and so friendly. The acoustic set during our silent auction was perfect and when their vocalist joined in after the live auction - the icing was put on the cake! This band is so professional, fun, and talented...we are sure to use them for future events at our winery or non-profit galas...!
Response from Aaron Walker Gypsy Jazz:
Thank you so much Megan. You had a great fun crowd!
All my friends loved the music!
Great energy, wonderful people, and the crowd loved them!!!!
The quartet was awesome! Very professional and a great selection of songs. They were hired to play at our event at the Union Station I heard nothing but great compliments about them from our guests. Great job guys!
Thank you for a truly wonderful evening with Gypsy Jazz Menagerie. It was a lovely and fun acoustic & strings sound with lively and upbeat instrumental songs that provided incredible upfront entertainment to focus on as well as beautiful background music for those partygoers who just wanted to chat amongst themselves. Aaron and his band mates were professional (and friendly) in their demeanor and attire and they were adaptable to the venue (which we had to change due to cold weather) and they played extra time. All of the guests were enthralled and loved them. Their music provided the happy vibes. Anyone who may have showed up in a low mood - the weather was yucky, cloudy and chilly - could not have stayed that way while Gypsy Jazz played. Live music generally is a key component at any gathering and well worth the expense, but Gypsy Jazz hit all the right notes for what our event needed (a 60th birthday party) to please people of all ages and provide the “happy juice” that keeps the mood upbeat for hours. Don’t second guess it - book Gypsy Jazz Menagerie!!! We’ll be booking them again, we loved them. Thank you Aaron and Gypsy Jazz Menagerie!!!
We absolutely LOVED their music. Many comments were made during the event. Thank you and we will have you back soon!!!
Gypsy Jazz Menagerie are fantastic musicians. They are easy to work with, and nice people.
They were an absolute hit for our party, and added the special ingredient that was both classy and really fun.
Gypsie Jazz Menagerie did a fantastic job at our corporate reception. They were low key enough to be background music but engaging enough that they were applauded regularly but attendees. I would highly recommend!
Gypsy Jazz was wonderful! I received many complements on the music from residents, family members, and professionals. I even had people asking where I found them. Everyone was impressed. I would recommend Gypsy Jazz at your next event.
Totally enjoyed the players as well as the music. The music was delightful, fun and uplifting. Would have them again if the occasion arose.
I really enjoy playing with the members of this group, I always feel challenged by their virtuosity and ingenuity.

Aaron Walker Quartet is an international ensemble of wildly creative and enthusiastic musicians. While the quartet continuously tried to put itself in a box no hexadodocticpolydactyloctagon box was ever found that could fit. Simply put the Aaron Walker quartet is on the cutting edge of the new era of gypsy jazz groups. Swing unconfined, bossas smoother than German buttercream, wildly romantic and over the top tangos, top 40's reimagined in a swing style, and off the wall originals that make your senses explode.
No bio could contain the stories of the amazing musicians that perform regularly with the group or as guests. They include the most world renown musicians available; both current and future legends in the gypsy jazz genre, but really the music speaks for itself. You can look up individually the players, or, you can listen to the music again.
We are not a loud group, we are an acoustic listening group. We have a very specific tech rider that instructs the sound engineer how best to reinforce our instruments. For our quartet only four to six channels are needed. We use in sound-hole acoustic microphones that may be additionally reinforced with a condenser placed at the 12th fret. This gives us the cleanest most beautiful sound, but it also limits the amount of amplification we can achieve before feedback becomes uncontrollable when compared to a rock band with electric instruments. No more than 2 monitors are needed, and no subs are needed.
