Here's a little info about the different sides of Celebrate with Strings Attached.
The Strings Attached String Quartet is like a set of paper dolls with three different outfits.
1) Classical- We bring you the graceful and timeless elegance of classical music played with integrity and confidence. Complete with the tuxedos.
2) Jazz- We've got a terrific list of jazz standards, from Cole Porter to Dave Brubeck to Willie Nelson, arranged for the jazz string quartet. These guys can swing. For an even cooler combo add a vocalist and make it a quintet.
3) Pop- We've noticed a trend for our clients to request more popular and unconventional selections at their events, from Rock-and-roll favorites to current hits. So we've stepped up to meet the demand with quartet arrangements that range from the Beatles to Stevie Wonder to Coldplay. Check out our hip music videos.
For Dance Variety Band
The Strings Attached Variety Band brings you the best of the eclectic catalogue of music we've developed over 20 years. You might wonder how we can be good at so many genres. We start with a core of Austin's finest musicians, experienced enough to deliver classic rock, Motown, jazz standards and current hits all with the same mastery. Possible instrumentation includes: Bass, drums, electric and/or acoustic guitar, trumpet, piano/keys, and of course Will's signature electric violin. Then we add one or two of our charismatic and versatile singers, according to your tastes and what kind of songlist you'd like. Our recipe is made from a huge and constantly growing repertoire, stellar players and singers, and the vision and direction of a great leader- Will Taylor.
Western Swing Band
This 6 piece group is sophisticated yet grounded in western swing sty-lings, a bit of mariachi, a touch of Chet Baker played by a family of season acoustic musicians - violin, cello, trumpet, upright bass, classical and steel string guitars, mandolin, female and male vocals and harmonies. Get ready to dance all night!
Wedding Soloist
Imagine your favorite love song. Maybe it’s a current hit, an old standard, or any song that’s full of meaning for you and your sweetheart. Then imagine it sung in your ceremony by the sweetest and most versatile female voice you’ve ever heard. Lyrics are powerful. You and your guests will always remember the moment when Karen Mal blesses your ceremony with her genuine and unassuming singing. Still unsure? Ask for a sample we’ll send you a few bars of Karen singing your special song.
Ask about our custom songs: Will and Karen will compose a song just for your wedding.
