Classically trained ballet dancer

Rachel is dedicated to her passion and craft. She will put in the extra effort and take guidance and correction eagerly with grace.

Rachel Taylor started training in ballet under Brantly Shapiro at Wake Forest Community Ballet in Winston Salem.
In 2005 she joined Ohio Dance Theatre's pre professional program and performed with the company performances of the Nutcracker for 3 years.
In 2009 she returned to North Carolina and performed and taught with a high point's Arts Evangelica.
In 2012 Rachel returned to her education, attending UNC Charlotte earning a bachelor degree in dance performances. At UNCC Rachel had the opportunities to train under former ABT and Tulsa Ballet dancer, Melissa Hale Coyle. While living in Charlotte she became a certified Xtend Barre fitness instructor.
She also had the opportunitiy to be a substitute teacher for the Charlotte ballet.
Rachel also trained while in college at charlotte ballet taking classes 3 times a week.
Currently Rachel is a company member and faculty instructor for Winston Salem Festival Ballet.
Rachel is seeking out performance opportunities in classical and contemporary ballet.

I am a teacher as well as a performer.
My passion for performing extends into my teaching.
I love the opportunity to teach any ages ballet.
