Henna is popular for many celebrations: Weddings, Birthdays, Baby Blessings, Bat Mitzvah, or just for fun!
With Henna, you can have the look of tattoos without the discomfort. Henna is a temporary and safe expression of your joy and individuality.
Kendra has been doing henna since 2003. She fell in love with the art form when she had her first henna tattoo, and couldn't wait to get her hands on some "mud" and start doodling. She is always learning, practicing and trying new patterns and designs.
She makes all her own henna paste. It is safe and 100% natural.
Check out her work on the cover of Indian Weddings Magazine!
Kendra is professional, detailed and brilliantly artistic! I went with my two daughters (we all got henna) and we are overjoyed with the results!
I was very happy with Kendra's work. She did my bridal henna (hands and wrists), and rocked it! Everyone, including my very Indian parents, loved her work. I also had her do henna on my guests at the reception for fun, and it was a huge success. I would highly recommend her.
I am in charge of booking entertainers for events at an assisted living community. I originally found Kendra on Gig Salad when I was looking for a henna tattoo artist who would do a presentation about henna, as well as to provide tattoos. Kendra did an educational and interesting slide presentation on Henna, and provided tattoos to the senior citizens. Everyone enjoyed her so much that we booked her again for our annual summer picnic. I have also booked her to come back for an employee party. I highly recommend Kendra!

Kendra does henna with a unique flair and excellence. She can do up to 20 people per hour with small designs, or 12-15 for fuller "party strips".
Henna requires a small table (Think of it like getting your nails done), 2 chairs and decent lighting.
Pregnant bellies take about an hour to an hour and a half to do, depending on design.
Hello there!
I'm Kendra Williams, and I have been doing henna since 2001. I fell in love with the art form when I had my first henna at a Renaissance Faire in California, and I couldn't wait to get my hands on some "mud" and start doodling. I am always learning, practicing and trying new patterns and designs.
Since 2009, I have attended 3 Henna Conferences, to increase my learning. In 2014, I was honored to be a teacher at HennaCon in California. I also co-hosted Windy City Mehndi Meet in 2011 with Bridget Wessell Punsalang of Aurora Mehndi and organized the Meet in 2012. I have continued to host the Windy City Mehndi Meet each year since. I also teach henna programs at schools and libraries around the greater Chicago area.
While I don't have a studio space in Chicago, I can do appointments either in your home or we can meet in a local Starbucks or somewhere convenient.
For large parties, preferably a small two top table in a well-lit area and away from the DJ speakers.
