Elegant Bellydancer in Niagara Region

Shows can be customized according to the client's preference. No bachelor parties, please. Typical routine involves a cabaret (two piece) costume and an entrance with a silk veil, fan veils or Isis wings, drum solo, balady and/or pop solos and audience participation. Zills (finger cymbals) can be used, folkloric numbers with appropriate costume and props (say, sword, melaya, or assaya/cane) can be danced when desired. Dancer will require a change room or area to store valuables. Dancer has a car and will arrive one half hour before the show. Music will be on USB or can be on dancer's phone if bluetooth capability on device is available. Dancer will need to brief DJ an enter on the music starting. Audience participation will be fun and respectable. Please specify if a more modest costume or no audience participation is desired. Where permitted by venue, dancer can enter with a candelabra routine (lit candles balanced on a candelabra headpiece) for an additional cost of $50 on top of the set price. Dancer could possibly arrange for a duet (second dancer) where desired for additional fee. Dancer is fully vaccinated against COVID and will enter and exit the venue in a mask.

Born in Etobicoke, ON. Danced Jazz and Ballet as a child- teenager. Bellydancing since 2001. Danced at Carassauga-Egypt pavillion as part of Habeeba's Egyptian Dance Ensemble since (phone number hidden)6. Also danced regularly at CNE International Pavillion, Yonge and Dundas Square Canada Day celebrations, local shows such as Taste of the Danforth and Aurora Culture Days. Danced at several restaurants in the GTA including Jerusalem restaurant, the Sultan's Tent, Mazza Garden, etc. Regularly dance at weddings as a soloist or as part of a troupe at the major banquet halls in the GTA. Trained by Habeeba Hobeika and Nada Al Masreya in Toronto and took bellydance workshops with Egyptian stars such as Mahmoud Reda, Randa Kamel, Dr. Samy Farang and others. Specializing in Golden Era, Folklore and Oriental Egyptian styles of bellydance; also studied stylized Dabke, Iraqi-style bellydance, American tribal fusion and modern Shaabi.

Dancer will bring music on a USB on on her phone. Client will need to provide sound system or speaker or DJ. Please inform dancer whether the show will be indoors or outdoors; at a private residence or public venue. Candelabra solo only to be performed where venue permits and has appropriate fire safety (sprinklers etc). Dancer must perform within on hour of the booking time, otherwise extra charges will apply or the client must pay the fee without the show. Deposit of 50% of fee is required two days before the event. Dancer may refuse to dance if venue is considered unsafe (fire hazards, broken glass on ground, electrical hazards, freezing temperatures etc.) or guests are unruly (aka no unsolicited touching, groping, overly drunken patrons, only male clients).
