Hi!
I perform old country, new country, classic rock and top 40 hits from the 60's all the way to the present. I bring a sound system and make sure the sound is top-notch at all events I do.
While I am newer to gig-salad, I've been doing gigs professionally for the last 12 years. I've recorded and performed with many household names (Kenny Chesney Band, Luke Bryan Band, etc.) as I am beginning to build my own artist identity on all media platforms.
I love playing live and appreciate you considering me for your event.
Best,
-Freddy Matthews
Our guests enjoyed Freddy! He played a nice variety of music as background for our dinner. He was set up and ready to go when I got there. The volume was perfect! I never once had to ask him to adjust it and we were in a very small space. He texted me and stayed in contact with me up until the show day. Freddy was great and we would definitely use him again.

-Freddy Matthews
A Chicago native, Freddy grew up influenced by the jazz, blues, jam bands and Chicago-style house music popular in the 80's and 90's. His love for songwriting and playing guitar grew as he practiced to vinyl rock albums from the 60's and 70's. There, he found kindred spirits in songwriters such as Joni Mitchel, Paul Simon, Pete Townshend, Cat Stevens, and others.
Freddy continued honing his skills in the foothills of the Appallacian mountains where he breathed in the life, culture and music of the mountains. Eventually Freddy would find himself living in Tampa where he joined singer-songwriter Rich Allen as lead guitarist for the reggae-rock band Facility and later, the duo F. R. Music Project.
In 2021 Freddy partnered with Nashville producer Mark Duvall and launched his career as a solo recording and performing artist. He has worked and recorded with Peter Keys (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Sean Paddock (Kenny Chesney), Jerry Navarro (MuzikMafia), Kevin Arrowsmith (Luke Bryan), Pat Bergeson (Chet Atkins, Lyle Lovett), Ethan Pilzer (Jewel, Jack Johnson), Marcus Finnie (Keb Mo), and many others.
In 2022 Freddy also released his first solo EP "one" which is available on all streaming platforms.
Freddy continues to work full-time from his home studio in Tampa, Florida, where he writes, produces and arranges demo recordings. 2024 will see the release of at least three more singles with his first full album slated currently for 2025.
I provide all the audio equipment including PA system.
If there is a house system at your venue, I can route my audio signal to the main house inputs.
