Very Professional, Great vocal range!

Growing up around the urban streets of Baltimore, Maryland, George Lovett always knew there was something special about him. Coming from a family of amazing singers, he discovered he too had a voice. As a shy young boy, his grandparents would force him to sing for family functions and any friend that visited the house. That experience helped him to get over stage fright and to also see his potential star power. As a way of staying out of trouble, Lovett began singing in school functions and auditioning for shows and competitions of which most he would win. He was accepted into Baltimore School for the arts and while there he received voice lessons focusing on classical music. After high school graduation, he was scouted out by a representative of “Savannah College of Art and Design” to attend their school on full scholarship to sing with the executive 6 person singing ensemble “The Honeybees”. Lovett took the offer in Savannah, Georgia and discovered his love for musicals and theater. His freshman year, he was casted as a lead in SCAD’s production of the musical “Violet”. Throughout his four years at SCAD he was casted in plays and musicals such as “Songs for a New World”, “Intimate Apparel” and “Hair”.
George Lovett auditioned to be on BETs “Apollo Live” where he earned a spot on the show to sing for celebrity judges Gladys Knight, Doug E. Fresh, and Michael Bivins. By the end of his performance of Luther Vandross' “A House is not a Home”, Gladys Knight was on her feet cheering and encouraged him to “keep going”, she said; you have what it takes…you are very brave to tackle Luther and you did the song justice. I am waiting for you. What an inspiring experience for Lovett!
With classical music and theater under his belt, Lovett wondered what he could tackle next. He was convinced by friends, family and mentors to audition for Fox television show American Idol. That was a show that Lovett has watched since season 1 and always fantasized about joining. By season 11 he auditioned with his good friend and to his surprise they both earned a golden ticked to Hollywood! That opportunity forever changed his life because, he felt there was nothing he could not accomplish. After being eliminated during group rounds in Hollywood, he watched and studied season 12 and then auditioned again for season 13. Again, he made it to Hollywood but this time he fought to make a name for himself in competing against America's most talented and appealing singers. He was the only male contestant in Hollywood to receive a standing ovation from celebrity judges Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez. His rendition of Jason Mraz's “I Won’t Give up” earned him a spot in the top 15. While I was interviewing Mr. Lovett, my assistant googled this performance and we was overwhelmed.
Currently, George Lovett is finally in the studio working on original music and plans on recording and songwriting for himself and other major artists. As stated by superstar Brandy Norwood, George Lovett is touched and has a voice to heal people. Therefore, George Lovett will have music on your radios and will be performing at your next event!
