A burlesque act lasts an average of 3-5 minutes, and generally consists of one song (or more, combined into a single audio track). The performer will enter the stage or performance area and perform a striptease act, peeling off layers of costume. The performer generally finishes the act clothed only in pasties and a g-string or underwear. The level of nudity can be adjusted to fit the clients' needs. The performer will usually do a little direct interaction with the audience, teasing individual members of the audience, and can also return to the party to pose for photos with audience members, after a minute in the dressing room to put some of her costume back on.

HAZEL HONEYSUCKLE is a burlesque dancer and singer who has graced stages all over NYC, the U.S., and Europe. Originally from NYC, she is currently performing Tuesdays through Saturdays in Spiegelworld’s long-running “Absinthe” show at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. She has been a core member of Wasabassco, The BURLESQUE Show at the Borgata in Atlantic City, and a regular feature at The Slipper Room. She has toured in the U.S. with Twirly Whirly Burly-Q and Mason Dixie Burlesque, and made four solo tours in Europe. She is a major subject of the feature-length documentary “Getting Naked”, now available on Amazon Prime and iTunes. A private dressing area must be provided for the performer. Someone should be designated to pick up the costume items left behind when the performer finishes the routine and return them to the dressing room (in the burlesque world, we call this a Stage Kitten). The performer can bring someone who will also wear a costume, for an extra fee. Soft drinks/water should be available for the performer.

The performance area should have adequate audio equipment to play the music at a loud enough volume (a good rule of thumb is that it is loud enough that you cannot hear normal footsteps across the stage). Someone should also be designated to announce the performer before she appears. Audio files should be discussed beforehand; music can be provided in mp3 format by email or brought on a USB stick, or provided on CD (though this is a less-reliable method). Requests for particular songs must be discussed during booking and may require an extra fee so the performer can customize an act.
