Born In Puerto Rico And Raised Throughout The World Due To Her Father’s Military Career. She Began Her Musical Endeavor By Playing The Flute And Then Stumbled Upon Her Vocal Abilities. Her Musical Roots Are Ones That Can Be Seen Currently In Puerto Rico Through Her Various Family Members Including, Her Uncle, Modesto Nieves, Cousin Monika Nieves And Talented, Internationally Known Cousin, Christian Nieves Who Has Made His Own Mark In Music.

Early Career

Getting Her Start As A Performer By Singing In Church, Then Local Salsa Bands, National Anthems At Distinguished Military Ceremonies, Including One Fore The Surgeon General Of The Us Army. Izis Toured With The Us Army Rhythm And Blues Band To Nationally Recognized Essence Festival In New Orleans, La. Wehre She Preformed Songs Like "Respect" By Recording Artist Aretha Franklin, “teenage Love Affair” By Vocalist And Piano Player Alicia Keys Amongst Other Well-known Songs. Izis Has Shared Stages With Legends Like Rico Walker, Cita Rodriguez, Mario Ortiz Jr., Tito Puente Jr. Maelo Ruiz, Domingo Quiñones, Nino Segarra, Menique, And Sonora Ponceña. Opened For Gilberto Santa Rosa, Victor Manuelle, Paquito Guzman And Salsa Legend Larry Harlow. Izis Has Also Sang With Several Latin Bands Directed By Don Pérignon, Georgie Padilla, A Percussion Master Who Has Played And Recorded With Frankie Ruiz And Sonora Ponceña, And Chino Nuñez. Last, But Not Least, She Has Also Shared Stages With Fausto Cuevas International Percussion Touring Player For Jenifer Lopez And Stevie Wonder.

Her First Single Release Was In 2016 And Continues To Release New Original Works And Collaborations. Her First Recordings Were Composed By Puerto Rican Composer, Gil Francisco, Who Has Written Songs Like Dile A Ella Sung By Victor Manuel, Dime Si Eres Feliz Recorded By Tito Rojas, Agua Pasada Sung By Frankie Negron, A Veces Sung By Domingo Quiñones. Arranger, Engineer, And Producer, Recording For Several Of Her Projects Is Mike Rivera Who Has Worked With Artis Like India, Victor Manuelle, Olga Tañón, Ednita Nazario, Luis Enrique, Tito Nieves, Shakira, Celia Cruz And Ricky Martin. Since Then She Has Launched Her Album Entitled Te Curare In 2020. The Album Was Launched With The Intention To Assist Many Emotionally Through Music During The Pandemic. Izis Believes Music Has A Way Of Healing And Hoped The Music Would Be A Pleasant Distraction For Listeners Around The World.

During The Covid-19 Height In 2020 Izis Recognized The Strain The Pandemic Created And Wanted To Give Back Beyond Her Nursing. She Began An Initative Called Corro Con Salsa “run With Salsa” Which Brought Together Music, Physical Activity, And A Non-profit. Izis Brought Together International Radio Hosts To Play 1 Hour Of Music To Which Fans Around The World Ran Or Walked To. Participants Were Offered The Opportunity To Give Back To A Non-profit Through The Purchase Of A Specially Designed Medal. The Initiative Is Still Inspiring Many Today.
