As a former sea captain, entrepreneur and leadership trainer, James combines powerful metaphors and anecdotes from his experiences at sea and engages the audience with thoughts and solutions about how their challenges and life situations may be put into a manageable, new way of thinking.
James speaks on a variety of topics including emotional intelligence, creative leadership, and many other dynamic topics that wreak adventure and intrigue. His audiences are left mesmerized with the notion of what some people endure to reach greatness in their life.
His speaking style connects with the audience like all of the great speakers in the industry and they take away stories as well as lessons.
I have been to many self- development seminars and have listened to masses of business, relational and motivational speakers. James ranks right up there with many of the top talents and breakthrough strategists that I have heard. The Captain as I call him has been helpful, encouraging and really helping me to stay on course with my own goal and passions in life. Thanks James, I look forward to the future.

I am a storyteller.
With over 23 years of experience as a sea captain, I use metaphors and anecdotes from actual experiences that I have endured at sea to teach creative leadership, emotional intelligence and many other personality skills that deal with cognitive thinking. When speaking to companies, my goal is to plant the seeds of a new collective corporate culture, or a new way of thinking that will ultimately lower turnover of employees and create an environment of understanding, compassion and camaraderie with everyone from the CEO to the mailroom.
At conventions or conferences, I will deliver a powerful talk that that will leave the audience with a clearer understanding of why we act the way we do in relationships, our work and our lives in general. I deliver a thought provoking and impactful talk that will take people on a journey into their past life experiences and peel back the onion and help them to become aware of key events that may have stopped them in their tracks and is keeping them from achieving success or reaching their full potential.
I am very intent on leaving the audience with an experience that they have never heard from any other speaker or trainer. I bring variety and adventure to what might otherwise be average conference or keynote.
I also am also available for 1 to 2 day trainings and executive coaching.
Being blessed with a life at sea, I believe that I am unique in the sense that there are a few people speaking with my background, but they are rare indeed.
James Evanow is a speaker, author of his new book "Wisdom From the Sea", corporate trainer, empowerment coach and the founder and owner of Pace Your Self Empowerment Systems which is the parent company for his coaching and seminar business.
In the earlier part of his life, he spent over 23 years at sea as a Captain and still returns from time to time to get his internal compass on a true north course.
James is also the founder of Chart Your Course Empowerment Coaching, Evanow Seminars and he has a background in speaking, mortgage banking and he has started multiple successful businesses.
James has trained groups and corporations in over 40 cities in the U.S. and Canada on Emotional Intelligence and Creative Leadership.
This mixed with his background as a sea captain equips him with many powerful stories and experiences of how to succeed through turbulent times, and more importantly, how to lead with emotional intelligence.
As a result of speaking to hundreds of people in these trainings he saw an incredible need to educate people not only on Emotional Intelligence and Leadership, but how to (link hidden) destructive patterns as well.
