Kaitlyn Bellydance

Kaitlyn is a professional belly dancer who is extremely versatile and exudes this by performing various styles of the dance including American Cabaret, Tribal Fusion, and Bollywood.

Her high energy, finesse and seasoned star quality performances can accommodate almost any crowd or situation. She also uses props with her performances including the veil, sword, and zills (finger cymbals). She is available for birthday parties, graduations parties, restaurant performances, weddings, wedding showers, art exhibits, festivals, corporate events, etc.

A bellydance performance by Kaitlyn is the perfect way to entertain your guests and her dancing adds a distinct interest and excitement to just about any event!
And as they say in the Middle East, "a party is not a party unless there is a belly dancer."

You can schedule Kaitlyn for 1 to 3 sets or more, depending on the event or location.

A typical "set" belly dance performance is a series of 3 to 4 songs lasting approximately 10 to 15 minutes in length and can include one or more props.

Arabian Princess Parties:
Give your child something truly enchanting for her next big event. An "Arabian Princess" party is a themed event that can include a full costumed bellydance performance by one or more dancers, party favors, special present(s) for the guest of honor, a short bellydance lesson as well as a fun themed arts and crafts lesson. Arabian Princess parties usually last approximately 1 hour to 1 hour 1/2 and are suitable for children ages 4-13. Each party can be tailored to suite to each individual age and preference.

Kaitlyn is an International Bellydance artist who teaches and performs on the coast of NC and beyond. Her dance experience began as a child with formal training in ballet, tap and jazz, all of which she learned at Dance Theatre of Jacksonville.

Among some of her accomplishments in dance, Kaitlyn has attended week-long intensives w/ Aziza of Montreal, completed Levels I & 2 of Sahra Saeeda's Journey Through Egypt cultural certification program, received General Skills & Teacher Training Certifications in ATS® from Fat Chance Bellydance®, judged professional bellydance competitions in 2010, 2011 & 2014 and performed alongside Indian Bollywood star Raggeshwari in 2008. Most recently Kaitlyn was selected to be a member of the 2014 & 2015 Eastern US production of “Bellydance Evolution” tour and is a featured dancer in the instructional dance series for the “Learn Bhangra App”.

While on tour with Bellydance Evolution she performed at prestigious venues in NYC including Jazz at Lincoln Center and the Peridance Capezio Center.
Kaitlyn's other passion is Indian dance and studies Kathak, Bharatanatyam, Bhangra, Modern Indian Fusion and Bollywood. It is essential that the there be a sound system that plays clearly and is compatible to play an IPod or CD and someone (such as a DJ) designated to run sound during the performance.

If the sound system does not play IPods, please let Kaitlyn know in advance.

The performance area needs to be on a surface that is flat and adequately spacious for movement. If the ceiling is low hanging or there are obstacles or other hindrances that could affect the performance that are of concern, please contact Kaitlyn so such can tailor the performance to accommodate for any issues there may be.
