KleinmannStrings is a rising string quartet comprised of young, professional musicians who play in the Spokane Symphony. Johannes did a spectacular job of adding to the ambiance of our wedding ceremony and making our day extra special. I took time to greet our guests prior to the ceremony and had the opportunity to enjoy the Cello duo while doing so. Their music filled our tent and honestly made me feel like I was in a real life movie. The song selection was great and all of the feedback we got from our guests was overwhelmingly positive. Musicians arrived in a timely manner, dressed for the occasion and prepared with all materials. I was allowed to pick out musical selections from a large catalogue of options provided by the ensemble. We chose mostly classical with a few modern romance songs like by the Beatles and Etta James. Music was beautifully performed. This was for a Valentine's Dinner event held in an upscale retirement community dining room for an audience of about 150 people. Residents thoroughly enjoyed the quality and character of the music. We fully intend to hire the quartet or smaller ensemble for future events.
We had a wonderful experience with Kleinmann Strings, who played at our wedding. They communicated well leading up to the event and were on top of all the organizational details. And most importantly, they played beautifully.
Kleinmann Strings played for our private 25th Wedding Anniversary dinner (the two of us) at Europa in downtown Spokane. We hired Kleinmann Strings to perform for our wedding ceremony as well as at our reception. For our wedding ceremony, I requested and submitted prelude and bridal entrance music that was not on their repertoire list, and they generously agreed to play both pieces (a set of Elgar pieces for the prelude; a piece by Lemmens for the bridal entrance). These pieces were arranged for string quintet. At the reception, however, we only needed a quartet. Their playing was wonderful throughout. Many people commented on how beautiful their playing was. They were very prompt in email correspondence, which was a great relief and reassurance. I would recommend them to anyone looking for an excellent string ensemble!

BOOKING FAQ
Kleinmann Strings is a lively group of young professionals. We offer a wide selection of music from the classical composers of Bach and Mozart to the contemporary standards of today. We have had years of experience playing at events, in orchestras, competitions and solo recitals. Kleinmann Strings is dedicated to providing the highest quality music.
Should I hire a string quartet or smaller ensemble?
String quartets have the largest repertoire to choose from, and produce a lush, full sound that carries. Smaller ensembles (the duo or trio) produce an elegant, intimate sound and are good options for a budget.
Do you play music other than classical music?
Our musicians are fans of all genres of music, from country to rock to pop. If you are looking to add elegance to your event with a twist of modern flair, we are your group. In fact, if your special song isn't in our repertoire we will add it for a small fee that enables us to puchase the music and arrange it. If your song is unpublished, please contact Kleinmann Strings and in most cases we will be able to arrange it.
Do you play at outdoor events?
Yes, outdoor venues are very popular in the summer. We do ask you to provide a 10x10 tent/canopy/overhang for the sake of our instruments so the space is shaded and dry (no sprinklers or rain), and the temperature be at least 60 degrees and no more than 92. Our instruments are extremely valuable, acoustic marvels that require proper conditions.
Do you travel outside of Spokane? Coeur d'Alene? Tricities?
While the majority of the events we play are in Spokane, we do travel. For events further than 20 miles, we charge traveling fee (look for it on our Pricing page). In general we travel as far east as Ellensburg or Yakima, as far north as Kettle Falls or Sandpoint, as far south as the Tri Cities, and as far west as Coeur d'Alene. How soon should I reserve Kleinmann Strings?
Kleinmann Strings is currently accepting bookings for through December of 2018. Most weddings are booked 4-12 months in advance. If you would like our group to play for your event, please contact us as soon as possible in order to secure your date.
Do we need to meet with you in person? Will you play at our wedding rehearsal?
Believe it or not, all arrangements can be coordinated via email and telephone. There is no need for us at your rehearsal. On the day of your wedding (or event) we will arrive approximately 15-20 minutes before we are scheduled to play, to verify our cues are correct. If you are having us play for your processional and/or recessional, please be assured we are adept at timing the music to your party.

Kleinmann Strings dresses in formal black unless otherwise specified by the host.

$25 per week late fee
Cancellations
-cancellation by host over 7 days prior to event 50% of total fee is refunded
-cancellation by host within 7 days before performance, no refund is available
-Kleinmann Strings has never canceled an event, but reserves the right to cancel up to one month before event with a full refund.
-Full refund is available if Kleinmann Strings cancels for conditions beyond reasonable control (such as fire, flood or other events) up to 15 minutes before the ceremony start time.
Overtime
If an event starts late or runs over the agreed time performers are not obligated to stay, but will accommodate schedules permitting according to the overtime pay scale.
Outdoor Conditions
To protect the instruments, which cost anywhere from $5,000 - $25,000 each, we need a plan to help performers be sheltered from direct sunlight, falling branches, and rain. A 10x10 canopy, tent or overhang are sufficient precautions.
Since we have acoustic instruments we don't require any microphones and will still be heard. All we need for setup are one armless chair per musician and a 10x10 tent/canopy/overhang to protect our instruments when your event is located outdoors.
