We are a full-size Big Band (16 musicians, plus a singer), playing traditional 1940s swing music. If you like Glen Miller Big Band, and Duke Ellington tunes, check us out! Our performances are great for dancing, general entertainment, or just for listening (such as banquets). 2023 has been great.
We know Los Alamos Big Band plays amazing music....in addition, kind, compassionate, professional....there aren’t enough words to express how pleased we were with them!
Price Range: $910 to $2525 (non-New Year's Eve)

We provide the traditional big band experience, with dancing, singers, and instrumental soloists. You will recognize the well-known original arrangements and favorites from the Big Band era. Our act is “Dancing. Inspiring. Sentimental."
When you contact us, we will provide you with our fee, based on the parameters you provided. Once you are comfortable with the fee, we will then check our calendar for your date, and contact the 16 musicians. After we confirm the full band's availability (usually within 3 days), we will send you an official quote. We will also work with you to provide any special wishes and requests.
Our fees are:
A. Hold your event in Los Alamos! Our fees are the cheapest here, and you can reasonably rent Historic Fuller Lodge (a log palace!). The lodge allows catered dinners, and of course dancing! Two hours $910, Three hours $1210.
B. 10 to 50 miles (includes Espanola, Ojo Caliente, Santa Fe): Two hours $1700, Three hours $2050.
C. 51 to 100 miles (includes city of Albuquerque): Two hours $2100, Three hours $2525.
D. Over 100 miles, or special arrangements (includes New Years Eve): Please call or email.

Los Alamos Big Band is a 16-instrument 1940’s Glenn Miller-style swing band, with singer. The Band was founded in 1984, and has been playing continually ever since. We have performed on conference center stages for 1200 guests, as well as intimate settings for 100 guests, and are always a popular choice for wedding receptions. We perform the traditional songs and original arrangements from the Big Band Era. Dance to favorites such as “In The Mood”, “String of Pearls”, and “Sing, Sing, Sing”! We enhance the ambience, and memories, of wedding receptions, banquets, anniversary celebrations, and more!
We provide our own sound system. We will need two electrical outlets within 50 feet of our performance.
Please provide a secure (locked) location for us to store our instrument cases.

Our performances are inspired by the 1940s Big Band Era.
We perform music made popular by the Glenn Miller Orchestra and other big bands of the time, such as Duke Ellington.
Provide for the band a minimum 240 sq. ft. playing area, preferably a 20’ wide by 12’ deep footprint, protected from rain. (remove) Provide access to the bandstand one hour prior to performance.
Provide at least two 110 volt outlets (standard grounded house outlet).
We provide our own equipment, microphones, and speakers.
