I hired Mustafa to perform two songs at my mothers 80th birthday dinner. It was a Thursday night at 6:30 PM. Unfortunately with it being a weeknight I did not anticipate the traffic. I guess we were about 30 minutes late. I texted Mustafa and told him the guests are running late because of traffic so we’re gonna push it down a little bit. 30 minutes later he sends me a picture of the restaurant to prove that he did show up and that he was leaving. Very short very nasty and very curt. I said I am coming out we were in the middle of a video montage. I stepped out of the room to go and talk to Mostafa who was very rude, in my face very close, very flustered. I said Mustafa what is the problem. he said you hired me for a half an hour I said I emailed you to let you know that we were running late your response was “let me know when you are ready“ I said OK they’re doing a video montage so right after that would be great. He nastily in my face said so do you want me to perform now - I said well it’s my mothers 80th birthday and everyone is looking at the video . Had I known that you had another gig I would have been able to switch ithe itinerary around. He said in a very loud abrasive tone do you not understand what I’m saying! I said no, you’re here… it was supposed to be that you played one happy birthday song while bringing out the cake and just a little bit of music on the side . He literally walked out slammed the door said nothing to me. I texted him “are you going to give me a refund? he said good luck! And has not responded since. He is very unprofessional, he ruined my mothers 80th birthday celebration, and he has me second-guessing using this service which is unfortunate because I do a lot of events. I will continue to tell my story because he was extremely unprofessional. Does not communicate well, and did not care that it was 80th birthday dinner. I would of happily tried to come to an agreement and paid him for him time but I have never felt so disrespected by someone I booked, paid for and built an itinerary around.

Very good performance added a good touch to the event

There was a family emergency so a replacement stepped in to assist. Coming from the Caribbean most of my 100 guests weren't really impressed with the performance. The replacement was professional and arrived on time but the music selection preference that was discussed with the original artist was not what was delivered at my event.

My husband and I had Mustafa play for our wedding, both the ceremony and the cocktail hour this past weekend. My mother is from Trinidad (where Mustafa is from as well) and it was a truly special touch to have someone from her home country play at our wedding. Mustafa is extremely kind and professional; he played Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring for my bridesmaids' processional and Canon in D when my dad and I walked down the aisle. He knew how to shorten them to the perfect length for our walk. He also gave my sister a quick steel drum lesson during the cocktail hour. I cannot recommend him highly enough, he helped to make our wedding that much more unique and memorable.

Mustafa was the first vendor we booked for our July wedding. I had always wanted a steel drum because I just love the sound and feel that you get, like you're on an island! Originally I just wanted the steel drum for the cocktail hour but we added him for our ceremony too! We wanted to have that beach feel to our wedding and he was the perfect addition.
