Sandbox is a five-piece kids' and family music band from Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill, NC. We play rockin', rootsy music for children of all ages, songs that moms and dads will enjoy as much as the kids! Our live shows mix timeless traditional songs (with our own twist) and our own original kids' music: Sandbox songs about food, dreams, family, and friendship. With four vocal leads, loads of humor and harmony, rockin' guitars, swinging bass, and twangy mandolin and dobro, our performances and our albums are sure to please the whole family.
One person band played for room full of parents and 3 - 4 yr olds! Fantastic time! Kids were very involved and danced the entire time! It was a rainy day out but not at our house :)

We had a great time at our son's fifth birthday party. Ed came to our house and entertained the kids for a good hour. We all danced and clapped while he was singing, he is very charismatic and connects well with kids and adults.
Response from Sandbox Band:
Maria,
Thank you so much for taking the time to post this, and for the very kind words!
All the best,
Ed and Sandbox
My son (6 YO) had a great time as did all the other kids. We had a wide range of ages from 2 to 16 year olds and adults. Everyone loved it. I highly recommend!

Sandbox plays a lively, interactive show. We try to draw in the kids (and the adults) to particpate in the performance of each song. Some songs require a child's selection of an animal or a number or letter of the alphabet for us to proceed. Other songs need a dance or jump to participate. We will teach kids to know their head from the shoulder, knees, and toes as easy as we will celebrate the Hokey Pokey!
We are known for fun, interactive performances, upbeat songs, and rich harmonies. Our primary audience is the younger crowd, but our music appeals to folks of all ages. We play familiar classics that everyone knows and loves, mixed with fun original material. From there, we encourage kids (and adults!) to dance, shake and sing. Together since 2006,Sandboxhas decadesof band experience under our collective belts. Frank and Ed (guitars) both led local bands for years. Jeff (bass) was a founding member of a pop group in Oregon, and Chris (drums) was a top member of the Florida State marching band. Pat (mandolin and dobro) has played in country and zydecobands locally and in his home state of (link hidden)diences are consistently surprised at how entertaining Sandboxperformances can be for every age-group. With four vocal leads, we bring loads of humor and harmony to timeless children’s classics as well as our own songs. We are pros at getting kids involved with our act, and we keep the pace and presentation entertaining for adults as (link hidden)ndboxis sure to liven up your festival, block party, or community event. So book a show, grab a shaker, and get ready to have somefun!
