Shtonk Brass

Shtonk Brass is comprised of a flexible lineup of trumpet, trombone, saxophone, tuba, percussion, and some vocals. We are able to set up on a large stage with amplification, fit ourselves into the most unconventional spaces, or march around outside moving the show from place to place.

Our music is geared toward events where people move and dance and sing. Most of our music is instrumental, but we have several songs with vocals and can add more vocal songs with enough notice. Having a number of schooled jazz musicians in our lineup, many of our songs have sections for improvised solos and interaction with listeners.

We ask that if we are required to play for more than 90 minutes, we are allowed a 10 to 15-minute set break every hour to recuperate our faces. We currently have the ability to fulfill 3 hours of music (with breaks).

Our fee ranges from (phone number hidden) depending on number of musicians, length and time of performance, type of event, etc... For overnight and distant trips, additional fees or accommodations may be required.

Colorado's freshest brass band, Shtonk Brass, serves up party music, bouncing renditions of the best and worst chart toppers, and a bit of that filthy brass funk. Shtonk is an amalgamation of some of the spiciest horn players and drummers from across Northern Colorado. Since March 2019, they've gotten down with audiences at Aggie Theater, The Lyric, FoCOMX, 830 North, and other fun venues and events around Fort Collins beyond. From sweaty dance numbers to sing-alongs to heady riffs and solos, Shtonk delivers a multitude of grooves to move your body, mind, and soul.

If amplification is required, we are flexible. Basic industry standards for amplification are sufficient.
