We play swing, blues, mowtown, ballads, jazz standards, Latin (salsa), bossa nova, old pop and rock hits and anything in the Real Book. We’re flexible and can prepare other song requests (pop, rock, ballads, country, folk etc…) with some advance notice of at least 2 weeks before the gig. Our band leader plays trumpet and sings. So, depending on your event, the music can be sung, instrumental or a mix of both. We can play between 1 – 3 sets ranging from 20 minutes – 45 minutes for each set.
With our 5-6 piece band you‘ll find we can fill up any space with our sound. We can make the songs short and sweet (2-3 minutes) or solo longer over the tunes to bring up the energy and mood for dancing.
I was very happy with this young group. They provided an appropriate play list, were on time, dressed for the event and performed well. My guests enjoyed their lively performance.
The musicians in this band all have the passion for music I could tell while they were playing at their gigs. I have seen them twice, once at a smaller gig and another as live music at a wedding! The guests loved them and there were so many great comments on how fun they were to have at the wedding, provided a good atmosphere for swing dancing.
Response from The Ol’ Jazz Factory:
We loved to entertain the guests and our lead singer had the time of his life! You guys really know how to throw a wedding! 😁😄
I have seen the Ol' Jazz Factory a few tines and love their music - standard classics like In The Mood, Royal Garden Blues, and That's a-Plenty are just a few, and performed with smooth precision. This youthful ensemble makes a great lead band for dances as well as a feature performer in a concert setting. Highly recommended. Great for wedding receptions!
Response from The Ol’ Jazz Factory:
Thank you Keith! Your unwavering support has meant a lot to each of us at our gigs so far.
Price Range: $500 - $1450

We need access to the venue at least 1 hour before playing for set up. We require a deposit before the day of the gig and full payment, at latest, the day after the gig.
We play for however long you request and can either engage the audience actively through our music selections and song introductions, or just play the music straight through without song intros or talking to the audience. From our experience, it’s a lot more fun with some song intros, but you know what your event needs better than us. So, let us know!
We can play up to 45 minutes a set for a maximum of 3 full sets. You tell us how long and how many sets you would need!
We have been playing gigs for nearly 2 years now. We started off as fellow student musicians at our University but soon realized we loved playing together so much that we should try finding some gigs. Rock Step Swing Dance in Langley gave us our first several shows within our first year and most recently, we performed a longer set at a wedding this Summer. We love playing for swing dance gigs but also love so many other forms of jazz. If you have a request for Latin, salsa, bossa nova, blues, Dixieland, ragtime, ballads, smooth jazz, folk, just instrumental, just sung music, specific song requests (we can even prepare some rock or pop songs if specially requested far in advance) or anything similar to these options, shoot us a request and we’ll try to accommodate you’re preferences.
We have all the instruments and amplifiers needed for most gigs/venues. We’ve even played acoustically in a big community hall and the sound felt balanced. If you have a very large outdoor venue, we will need to DI our bass and piano into a sound system provided by you or your venue.
