The Vespertine Circus brings the charm of a big-top circus to urban denizens. One of the main atmospheric elements of their show is the relatively small size of the venue. The audience is able to be up-close and personal with the caste, creating an intimate connection with the artists. When Jezebel Wilder spins her silk to twirl in the air, you feel the wind in your face.
Can you say "stage presence?" Good, I knew you could. Each member of the troupe has a distinct character, and their personalities come through in their acts. The audience's mood changes as they respond to each artist's emotive performances. Jubilee Maya ensnares admirers with his penetrating gaze while he almost casually contorts his body.
It's playful, it's thrilling, it's beautiful. There's no place I'd rather go with friends on the 3rd Friday of every month. See you there!
The Vespertine Circus is above all else, a spectacle to be seen. Whether they are flying above your head, or playing around on stage, they are fun and entertaining as heck. As a constant member of their crowd, I am highly impressed by their variety of acts and willingness to improvise and improve. Not to be missed, highly recommended.

A dazzling array of acrobatics, juggling, physical comedy & variety acts, conducted by bold and lovable characters in the style that straddles 1915 American Big Top Circus & a contemporary European thespian ensemble, full of audience participation and breathtaking skill.
Each member of our troupe is interdisciplinary, and was selected for their high skill level, enthusiasm, playfulness, and of course - professionalism.
Our cyr-wheel acrobat placed nationally (twice), our trapeze artist used to fly for Ringling Brothers, our hoop dancer was trained in ballet for over a decade.... everyone in our small company really shines.
These performers deliver high quality circus entertainment in a wee package. We do most of our booking communication over Email to simplify recordkeeping, but are happy to talk over the phone and answer any questions you may have.
Once we've found an entertainment plan that fits your event (whether it's ambient/roaming, or a stage performance), the next step is us sending over a contract, proof-of-insurance (as requested by most venues), and requesting a 30% deposit.
Depending on the location, a performer may be sent to do a site-inspection and make sure the acts in mind will all run smoothly at the venue.
We arrive at a minimum of 30 minutes before any entertainment is planned to begin (longer if there is any rigging, large-equipment, lighting or sound cues to plan - call time varies) to ensure everything runs on time. Full payment is requested (via cheque) the day of the performance.
We pride ourselves on being clear communicators, and are happy to answer any and all questions you may have as you are deciding who to entertain at your event. It's a big deal, hiring a circus! Luckily, circus is our bread-and-butter so we're familiar with all of the logistics. ;)
