We Camp at the K.O.A. in Brookville, Ohio and got to see this band for the first time in May of 2013, they had the campers and the kids all dancing the whole evening! They play just the right songs, some we hadn't heard in years, was awesome..so awesome that in August they came back to play there, and we were front row singing right along!
I hired this band for my wedding. Being in my 50s myself we wanted good Old rock and roll music. Entertaining and great to hear all the oldies,

The " DECADES " was originally started in 1967, by MIKE BURDEN, ROB HUSTON, JOHN ZIMMER, & JEFF HUSTON.
The band was together until 1970 when the band broke up, and each went their seperate ways. Rob headed west to California and was a studio musician in L.A., Jeff headed southeast and went to school to become a music teacher, Mike and John started another band called "Rasberry jello. before MIke went into the military. Each remained in some type of playing or teaching music over the years. In 2004 Mike McKinney, Mike Burden and Rob Huston, reformed the band, and has been going strong ever since. Rob has recently retired from the band, and Ray Hull has stepped into playing rhythm/lead guitar. Mike Burden has taken over the roll of the bassist in the band. And with the addition of Joe McPheron at the keys, the band has never sounded better. The bands original instrumentation was : lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass guitar and drummer. The current instrumentation added a keyboard.
MIKE BURDEN........is one of the original founding 4 members of 'THE DECADES' . At that time Mike was playing rhythm/lead he is currently the bass player for the band,and sings back-up with some lead. Mike has been playing professionally off and on since 1970.
MIKE MCKINNEY.......is the drummer and lead singer for the band, Mike has been playing professionally 1971. he was also a former member of the local musicians union, and played with several bands over the years, prior to joining the DECADES. in 2004.
JOE MCPHERON......is the bands keyboardist. Joe has been playing professionally since 1966. He has played it all from Rock & Roll to Bach and everything in (link hidden)e became a member of the DECADES in 2010, Joe is a welcome & great addition to the band.
RAY HULL........ is the bands lead / rhythm guitarist,and besides singing great harmonies, also sings lead vocals on several songs . Ray has been playing professionally since 1967, and loves playing rock & roll and Blues. Ray became a member of the DECADES in Jan. 2013, and is also a welcome addtion to the band
