In addition to nightclubs, cruise ships and corporate events, Tom’s performances at Comedy Festivals have entertained audiences and critics from across the U.S. and Canada.
His appearance at the Boston Comedy Festival’s Stand-Up Comedy Competition impressed Brent Scheiss of the Montreal Comedy Festival who recommended Tom, calling him a “Very Promising Comedian.”
Tom was them selected to appear for four nights at the Calgary, Alberta Canada “FunnyFest” and Headline the Comedy Nest in Montreal.
Tom was one of the original “Ding-Ho” comedians, the home of Constant Comedy, where he honed his skill alongside Lenny Clarke, Paula Poundstone, Bobcat Goldthwaite, Steve Sweeney and many others.
After winning the National Lampoon Comedy Competition in Boston, Tom filmed a special for Showtime television with Leslie Neilsen at the Sahara Hotel in Las Vegas.
This began a series of dates at other venues on the Strip including the Stardust, Bally’s Hotel and Casino, the Tropicana, as well as popular nightspots in Atlantic City, Lake Tahoe, and Reno, Nevada.
A sit-com script Tom wrote received interest from agents at International Creative Management in Los Angeles, this lead to a number of gigs on the West Coast as well.
When not writing and pitching ideas for television, he frequented The Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory and the Improvisation in Hollywood, and The Punch Line, The Holy City Zoo, and The Other Cafe in San Francisco.
In addition to stage work Tom was a guest on Gabe Kaplan’s radio show “Sportsnuts” and “Comedy on the Road” with impressionist John Byner for A&E.
At home in New England, Tom enjoys working with national performers at local venues such as: Hall & Oates at the Cape Cod Melody Tent, Jane Olivor at the Casino in Hampton Beach, NH, The O’jays, and Kids in the Hall at the Berkley Performance Center and Jimmy “JJ” Walker.
