She weaves poetry, humor, hip hop, education and truth for entertaining presentations that will make all ages and genres laugh and think. And that's just the start of who Val Jones is. Emceeing and broadcasting for over 30 years, she has shared the stage with The Last Poets, Gil Scott Heron, Marion Meadows, Bob Baldwin, Chip Shearin, Kirby Hamilton, Ray Codrington and Reggie Codrington to name a few.
Val Jones is also an audio production "Oracle" -- sought out for her works and media consultations. Specializing in audio production, voice-overs and making you think, Val/IAMVALJONES provides audio commercials, audio books and various voice needs for all formats. Her voice can be heard all over the world - from NC to England, Canada to the Caribbean, Atlanta to Arabia.
Val Jones is the host of her own syndicated show -- Val Jones' Soul School Cafe -- an eclectic blend of jazz, neo soul, house, spoken word and conscious hip hop, spiced with some real talk and poetic inspiration. Along with bridging the gap between music generations and genres, her show is a forum for independent and seasoned artists whose music is overlooked by the "short-listed" terrestrial radio stations.
