Nova Sol is a bossa nova/samba jazz group playing favorites by Antonio Carlos Jobim and other known Brazilian artists in English and in Portuguese. Added to the repertoire as well, are some known popular sultry smooth jazz and R&B soul classics accompanied with some of our own music from the new album. Our line up can be anything from a duo to a full eight piece band and therefore cater to corporate functions, wine tastings, dinner / cocktail parties, openings, galas, lounges, bistros, cafes, restaurants, festivals and many other events. We are also available for those events requiring only instrumental background music.
The band is talented and able to accommodate to some changes/requests, like a first dance song

Jan Deny
Born in Belgium and raised in Canada, he has been involved in music professionally for over 30 years as a performer, composer and producer. His love for music has made him versatile in all genres but for the past few years has found a new love in Latin music, particularly Brazilian bossa nova/sambas. Having also a passion for soul music, he put the best of both worlds together by forming Nova Sol with the help of different singers and musicians.
