Vintage Jazz and Swing played in an authentic style. Uptown Swing & Jazz is a 3 to 6 piece band that specializes in the small band jazz of the 20’s & 30’s. The style is that of a small “big band” trying not only to capture the sound of the hot jazz of the 20’s but the swing jazz of the 1930’s. The band plays all of the styles of music that were dominant during that musical period of time from Ragtime, to New Orleans Jazz, Chicago Jazz to Harlem. Tin Pan Alley tunes and blues are also a big part of the performance.
The music is perfect for listening and dancing so bring your dancing shoes.
Uptown Lowdown Jazz made out already super special wedding fantastic. The music was exceptional quality and they so easy and lovely to work with. No stress or issue whats-so-ever! In fact, my father who is disabled was chair dancing and the music made him so happy! They are so great and modestly priced for the quality!
We are so happy that we chose Uptown Lowdown Jazz! They were amazing performers and all night our guests commented on how incredible they sounded. The band was professional and very reasonable in price. The communication from them was great and they made the day even more special. Thank you so much for the amazing performance!
Response from Uptown Lowdown Jazz:
We were glad to be able to help "make you day".
I have employed Uptown Lowdown Jazz Band in the past and have hired them for several upcoming events. They are one of the top Traditional Dixieland Jazz Bands. They are reliable and once they commit, they are there. They play to the crowd and are very sensitive to their mood. They are flexible and can accommodate just about any request. They have a large following that is definitely very loyal to this band. They are in high demand for all Traditional Dixieland Jazz Festivals. They are also very easy to work with. They are always my first selection.
