Overview
2nd Wind performs old school, new school, Top 40 hits, Motown, classic rock, funk, pop, R&B, country, and smooth jazz. Instruments include keyboards, bass, drums, lead guitar and percussion along with four amazingly talented vocalists who are absolutely captivating and interactive! Optionally, 2nd Wind has a DJ and a 3-piece horn section available. Standard audio production includes a premium, full-range sound system, dynamic stage lighting, and engineering.

I can't THANK the 2nd Wind Band enough for making my daughter and son in law's wedding such a memorable experience. Hiring them was the very first vendor they contracted right after they got engaged. In fact, they knew this was the band they wanted even before they were engaged because they heard them at another wedding. Everyone kept asking where we found such a fantastic band and several people commented that they felt like they were at a concert. I told my daughter that when 2nd Wind is famous and touring the country she will be able to say "Can you believe that we had them play at our wedding?!!! That's how GREAT they are. Thanks so much for the wonderful show.

What to Expect
Our services and styles are quite broad:
- We perform jazz and easy-listening music, vocally and instrumentally during cocktails and/or dinner. This may include the full band, a jazz trio, piano, and vocalist, or whatever combo meets the request.
- We perform special requests for customary dances.
- Our dance sets range from 60-90 minutes depending on the timeline of the event.
- We provide emcee services at no additional charge.
- We have an optional 3-piece horn section that consists of trumpet, sax, and trombone.
- We have an optional DJ who will cover band breaks, introductions, special requests, filler music, etc.
- We provide a premium sound system adequate for the selected venue and a wireless mic for the client.
- We provide basic to dynamic stage lighting. This includes a general stage wash, front, and rear truss lighting, moving heads, haze, etc.
- We can provide a secondary sound system for cocktails or a wedding ceremony complete with a lavalier mic for the minister and a wireless mic for readings.

2nd Wind is one of Cincinnati's most sought-after show bands, giving concert-level performances at every stop! This amazing group has accompanied or opened for numerous national acts including Eric Benet, Rude Boys, The Whispers, Fantasia, Eric Darius, Najee, Jonathan Butler, Charlie Wilson, John Legend, Jeffrey Osborne, Klymaxx, Con Funk Shun, SOS Band; gospel artists such as Grammy Award artist, The Clark Sisters, Hezekiah Walker, Kurt Carr & the Kurt Carr Singers, BeBe and CeCe Winans and many many others.
Additional Booking Notes
Our technical requirements vary based on venue size, dedicated circuits, and the client's desires. For a large event (500+ guests), we require six 20-amp circuits; medium event (250-500 guests), four 20-amp circuits; for small events (less than 250 guests), and at least two 20-amp circuits. With smaller events, an additional circuit may be required for lighting if that is expected.
If there are limited circuits available for an outdoor event, we can supply our own generator and spider box for a small charge.

Influences & Inspiration
Our performance consists of high energy singing and dancing, crowd interaction and participation similar to what one may experience at a national concert or festival. Influences stem from top 80s funk bands like Earth Wind and Fire, Ohio Players, Parliament, Commodores to today's artists like Bruno Mars, Beyonce, Lizzo, Usher, Rihanna and the like.
Setup Requirements
A stage or performance area should be a MINIMUM of 16x24 to 20x20
An outdoor stage should have a standard stage canopy
Large outdoor performances may require a Sunbelt generator rental.
We can hang stage lighting from the stage truss or provide our own trusses.
We will use a haze machine where smoke alarms and sprinklers won't be triggered.
