4WITHOUT is a powerful and energetic rock band with aggressive rock and jazz influenced guitars, funky bass lines, and a strong drumbeat with lots of double bass kicking. On top of that is the sexy female front woman with a broad vocal range that packs a powerful punch.

4WITHOUT was formed in Chicago, IL in 2009 by guitarist Jiri (Jerry) Cafourek, bassist Tomas Cizak and singer Jana Janey Age. The trio recorded the first four songs using a drum machine while searching for a drummer. The name 4WITHOUT comes from being a four-person band without the fourth.

The band invited guest drummers for live performances (Jeff Barker, Ken Kreis, Jeff Iversen) and had a short time member Adami Gordon until they found current member drummer Josh Rockel. In 2011, Tomas Cizak departed to pursue other interests and Oskar Sanchez replaced him for a short period of time until, Filip Halas joined as permanent bassist. Additionally, the band added a second guitarist Karel (Carl) Hudecek, further enhancing their rock alternative sound. 4WITHOUT is now a complete five-member band creating an energetic and unique sound.
