I have played as a Piper with the New Hampshire Police Association Pipes and Drums since 2011. During my time with the band I have played a variety of events including funerals, retirement parties, pub crawls, Both with the band and solo.
My most common performances are funeral and wedding services. But I will play any requested event.
The Celebration of Life for my husband was made so extra special by the lovely bagpipe music. I would highly recommend him!
David was a hit with everyone. We loved his friendly interaction with all and his music was everything we hoped for. Thank you!
Over cast and drizzle along with beautiful pipe music set a very Scottish tone for our Memorial Service. David was amazing. The music selection was perfect as was his ensemble. We couldn’t have been happier. Many people said they were moved by how appropriate it was to the occasion He also came along to the luncheons d pipes the guests in there as well.
He was fabulous !! Accommodating, professional and flexible. He was enjoyed by all those attending event!!
Response from 603Piper:
Thank you for the kind words Barbara :)
Thanks so much to Dave for a great night of celebration and fun and camaraderie. He went above and beyond preparing for the night to make sure we didn't miss a beat on the traditional aspects of the evening. And he is super flexible, creative, and friendly as well!
The dinner was a great success thanks in no small part to 603Piper!
Dave provided just what I needed for our Mom’s Celebration of Life. Thank you Dave!
Response from 603Piper:
Thank you so much Mike! It was a beautiful service!
Couldn’t possibly have been more pleased with our experience hiring Dave. Not only an outstanding musician, but highly professional in his communications/planning. Bravo!
We hired 603Piper for my 95-year-old Grandmother's birthday party, and he did a wonderful job. The guests loved the music and he was very personable. Great experience booking and communicating along the way. Would highly recommend!
David Myer was absolutely amazing! He played for our ceremony and our guests loved it! Would hire again for another event!
Unbelievable! Such a great addition to our wedding!
We had a fantastic experience! Very proficient at his craft. Great Addison to our daughters wedding. We recommend 603 to anyone!
603Piper was extremely professional and provided a wonderful ambience as our wedding guests arrived and as they left the church. He played each of the songs we requested beautifully, and cut a very striking figure in full bagpiper regalia. Very highly recommended!!!!!
It’s was great. The bagpiper was awesome
David is very professional and courteous. He arrived promptly and worked with us on the fly to adjust the playing schedule during our event. I would highly recommend him for any type of event.
We had a wonderful, professional experience for a Celebration of Life!
Paiper 603 was amazing. In the end, he was not able to be at our memorial. He found us another piper, and helped me to contact Campbell Webster instead. It was an absolutely beautiful event. I am indebted to them both for helping me through a very difficult day. They both are highly reccommended!
David was quick to respond to messages and help shape the playlist, there early to prep and tune, and played beautifully—all in the cold and rain. Would certainly hire him again and recommend his talents to others.
We had a great time.
I asked David to play from a distance and walk down a steep hill, which he did while playing beautiful music! It made my husband's birthday! David was kind, talented and easy to work with.
What a wonderfully talented piper and VERY accommodating...we changed the time and he was very kind about it all.
We highly recommend 603Piper!!!!!!!
David is very personable and seemed to really enjoy playing for us.
Response from 603Piper:
Thank you very much, it was a lovely service and location!
I was so very pleased, the wake ran long and he graciously waited till after the service to finish his last song, Amazing Grace for my Dad. So very kind. Thank you.
The beautiful music helped us let go at my father's committal at the veterans cemetery.
Friendly, helpful and a great time
Dave was absolutely GREAT! We could not have received a better bagpipe player, he was professional, kind, played superbly, was extremely accomadating of our needs, and I would Highly Recommend Dave for any future bagpipe playing needs.
David was awesome !! He made our wedding celebration so special - everyone was talking about how amazing he was !
David was a great addition to our 100th Labor Day Parade.
603Piper was a wonderful addition to my dad"s ceremony. He arrived in advance and was prepared with the requested music, and he was dressed impeccably. He was professional & polite.
David was extremely easy to work with (our event was a wash out with rain) - but he made it work and the performance was absolutely spot on! He went above and beyond and made my father's memorial service better than we ever hoped it could be. I asked for three songs - which he delivered perfectly - and he performed more in the back ground of our event. I WILL be hiring him again!! Thank you David, you brought our event to the next level and helped our family and friends remember my father and this memorial service.
Talented musician. Personable. Listened to my thoughts and made recommendations. Very professional. Lived up to his commitments. Great service for fair price. Would highly recommend.
Amazing, breath taking and and made my wesding a special moment to remember!!
I want to thank David Myer for doing such a lovely job at my Father's memorial service yesterday. The music was beautiful. He arrived early and was exceptionally professional. He was also very courteous and genuine. I highly recommend him.
Dave's piping added very special feelings to the burial of my beloved wife of 30 years. He is a very compassionate person .
prompt, professional, and nice addition to a heartfelt moment shared by family and friends..personal and easy prep and coordinating with Dave
The bagpipe music made the event. The musician arrived early and performed beautifully.
I scheduled David to play at my mom's funeral and the whole process of booking him and his services were terrific.
David was quick to reply to my questions and gave me links to suggest songs to play which made my decision making easy.
Even though he had to drive pretty far for an early mass, he was at the church ready to play when we arrived.
He made one of my mothers wishes a reality and for that, I am grateful.
Thank you David
David was so easy to work with. He took care of everything and has a YouRube channel, which helped us select our tunes.
We had a Christmas party with approx. 80 guests and for a bit of fun we hired 603piper to pipe guests in as they came up the front walk. David was on time, personable & easy to work with, dressed appropriately, and was happy to play a little longer at our request. It was a pleasure to work with him and I would hire him again for a future occasion without any hesitation.
603Piper was a perfect addition to our daughter's wedding.Accomodating, reliable and easy to work with. Do not hesitate to retain him for any event. We loom forwsrd to using him again.
We feel so fortunate to have had David as a wonderful surprise at our event! He was on time, courteous, communicated well, very friendly - everyone loved him and his playing! We recommend him for any occasion - 5 plus stars!
David was the consummate professional in every stage of the job. He was on time, looked fabulous, and played wonderfully throughout the wedding, which was on a mountain side to boot. Very, very pleased with him . Gigsalad, on the other hand, is not the easiest to work with, though we managed. Communications were a trial often and way too cumbersome probably due to their fear people will go "outside" to hire. It's worth hanging in there, though. BoB
Very professional before and during his performance.
Punctual and accommodating to our needs, as well as helpful in where and when his performance would fit into my Mother's funeral.
I'd recommend David to anyone in need of a great piper.
David worked with us on tune selections, was prompt and professional, played well and maintained a demeanor of responsive respect throughout. The music he provided was very moving for all.
We had an excellent experience with David. On time and professional, he quickly got back to us with any questions we had and guided us with his expertise in choosing tunes that we were not familiar with. We couldn't have asked for a better piper. We would highly recommend booking him for your event! Thank you David!
Lee and Jennifer
informative, cooperative and professional
David communicated with us and worked with our requests. Was the perfect touch for our outdoor ceremony, could not have asked for a better bagpiper. Played beautifully
The whole experience was great from beginning to the end.
Since it was for a funeral for my Dad we had a lot of other things on our plate and it was comforting to know that David Myer (603Piper) was on time-even early, stayed through to the last person at the cemetery and played all the songs we requested.
I would highly recommend David and GIGSALAD for any event!

David was a pleasure to work with from the initial inquiry through to the end of the event; he was the consummate professional throughout. He arrived at the time promised, helped us choose what he should play, and interacted politely with the public. Everyone very much enjoyed the music, too! I would not hesitate to hire David again and will be sure to book him well in advance for our annual event in 2017.
We hired Dave to play at my Dad's memorial service. He played outside while people arrived and then inside after the eulogy. Many, many attendees commented on what a touching tribute it was to have a piper at the ceremony. Dave is an accomplished piper and played a wide variety of tunes. Thank you for making our event very special!
We used 603Piper for my fathers funeral. It was a last minute booking, so I had no time to check for reviews etc...
He showed up 1/2 before the time needed. He discussed a possible playlist with me, we suggested a few songs and he suggested appropriate music. He was wonderful!
For such a sad occasion he made things very simple, didn't take much of my time and was extremely pleasant and kind.
I would highly recommend him. People commented on how lovely the music was, it wasn't too loud or inappropriate. He was a kind, pleasant and extremely professional.
Our service ran much longer than expected, he stayed without question. He was there a little over an hour longer, no questions asked. I appreciated that immensely.
All in all, he was perfect! You won't be disappointed.
Price Range: $300 and up
Gig Length: 5 - 120 minutes
Languages: English
Pricing:
For a graveside only burial performance, price starts at $250 which Includes one hour of attendance and set up time.
All other events, price starts at $300. This includes my setup time and the first hour of attendance(whether I am playing or not). Every additional hour after the first hour will be $50/HR(rounded up to the next hour). Events over 60 miles away from Bedford NH will include a travel fee of $0.50/mile round trip.
The tunes played at your event, the location of where, when and how long I will be playing are completely at your discretion. If you are not familiar with certain bagpipe tunes I have a variety of tunes appropriate for particular events.
Typically the pipes can be used at events such as funerals and weddings as a supportive instrument, placed somewhere outside the venue playing as guests arrive to lead them inside or as guests leave, or I can play during a service at a church or graveside for a burial as a formal performance. If you need any guidance or recommendations on how to incorporate the bagpipes into your event I would be more than happy to assist you with the planning.
I also have a set of ceilidh small pipes, which are a quieter version of bagpipes with a distinct rich sound, great for indoor events.
Depending on the start time of your event I will need to arrive around 30-45 minutes before hand to allow the pipes to acclimate to the temperature of the venue and to get them tuned up . I will also need to check in with the event coordinator to go over the location where they would like me to play. Location is important if you are using the pipes for background music, they are loud and you don't want to have them playing in someone's ear the entire time.
I can offer a few types of uniform for an event. The first set up consists of a Barathea Argyle Jacket and waist coat(both black), white long sleeve shirt with a vest and tie, glengarry (hat/cover), kilt, sporan and high gloss dress shoes.
Another option is the NHPA band uniform which consists of the blue police uniform, band badge and tie, kilt, horse hair sporan and white spats over the dress shoes. The band uniform is great for law enforcement or military events, requires band authorization for use.
I also have a black kilt, with red accents on the hose and shirt.
Military,Police,Corrections,Fire,EMS discounts are available(Please notify me)
For my full time job I am a Realtor® licensed in NH & MA, I work for Keller Williams Metropolitan in Bedford NH. I was first introduced to the bagpipes during my law enforcement career. A fellow officer in the NHPA Pipes & Drums suggested I learn how to play. Once I started taking lessons, I was hooked. I have been a student under Lezlie Webster's instruction for several years.
As of 2023 I am presently Pipe Major for the NHPA Pipes & Drums.
In years past I have competed with the band at the Queechie VT games and the Loon Mountain NH Highland Games. The Band placed 2nd at the Queechie VT Games and 5th at The Loon Highland Games in Lincoln NH .
When placing an event request, please make sure to include the venue location and address. If you are working with a funeral home or event planner please include their contact information so I can coordinate the details with them.
Make sure to include the desired start and end time for my performance if it is different from the start and end time of your event.
The bagpipes are a wood based, reed instrument and are sensitive to drastic changes in temperature and humidity. Ideally they should be tuned in the same room where they will be played, a similar room will work too. But tuning outside in 80 degree weather and then going into an air conditioned room could affect the tuning of the pipes.
A tuning room or an area away from the event to warm up is ideal but not required. Also an area to change is helpful as well, driving in a kilt is not pleasant on long drives!
