88Upright is a unique piano and upright bass duo that performs jazz, pop, classics, and original works. It's a lot of stuff you know, some you don't, but all fun. Eric plays piano, sings, and brings unique arrangements and original compositions, and Pat plays the upright bass, sings, and brings his wealth and experience of being on of Orlando's top side men for decades.

Pat & Eric will set up a very small footprint with acoustic bass and a keyboard. If you have a grand piano, Pat and Eric can set up around that.
88Upright will bring small to medium amplification if needed for small to medium rooms.
Pat and Eric are very cordial and friendly and are happy to accommodate the hosts' needs. They will start with something instrumental and fun, and then move into songs everyone knows, with vocals. Fun songs from all decades, with unique arrangements and vocals.
They play a lot of solos, and provide a jazz atmosphere, with a small setup of two people.
Pat is a music educator in Central Florida, and one of the most in demand bass players in Orlando for years. Eric has been an accomplished composer, arranger, and producer for his own brands and clients around the world for over 25 years.
What can you expect? Great jazz, standard, and pop songs done in unique ways. Acoustic bass solos, piano solos, singing, original thoughts and musical inspirations from the last 100 years by two unique musicologists.
88Upright is the unique duo of keyboardist, vocalist, and composer Eric Copeland, and bassist Pat Gallo, one of the premiere bass players in Orlando. The music they provide is unique, as they provide a unique experience with just piano and bass, and also adding vocals in.
Both are teachers and studio musicians as well, so they have many stories to bring each song to life. Where did the song come from? What's the story behind it?
Besides that that, Pat and Eric just have FUN! You'll enjoy the interplay between these two professionals whether it's a jazz standard, an original take on a Disney classic, or a technically mind blowing piece that you've never heard, but will love!
88Upright is two talented musicians and singers ready to bring music and entertainment to any function you need a small ensemble, but big entertainment!
Require outlet for small amplification we will bring with us, but are also able to use any system you may have.
In some rooms, we may not require any amplification besides the keyboard or piano's natural sound. The acoustic bass may require a small amp we will provide.
If you have an acoustic piano we may use that depending on it's tuning and quality.
