    Ruthy Stenger is a truly gifted and versatile pianist and singer. I'd wanted to have a mixed repertoire at the funeral home visitation for my sister. Begin with light classical, include Catholic hymns that my (deceased) sister and I both grew up on, then move on to more popular tunes --- including jazz standards, a country song, etc. Ruthy understood that I wanted to do something special for my sister who was a dedicated amateur pianist. She collaborated very generously with my ideas for the program, and even learned pieces that she had to prepare from scratch. She even took requests from the attendees.
