Time With Santa

WHAT TO EXPECT:
A clean, professional & well-groomed Santa Claus (and add Mrs. Claus) for an entertainer that will arrive at your event as close to the agreed upon start time as possible. For any reason, if Santa experiences traffic congestion, unavoidable road closures or previous event related mishaps that can delay the sleigh. Therefore, he or his elves may phone, text or update you Gigsalad booking page. Be closely monitoring each of these avenues of communication. Because Santa travels out of cell phone reception during his visitations to multiple locations daily he may only be able to send a message through Gigsalad, stay logged in. Please, DO NOT be distracted and miss answering your phone minutes before his arrival, it is often the only last minute form of communication he has before he arranges his physical walk-in. Missing his communications 15 to 30 minutes prior can result in a delay or a unexpected walk-in when guests are not ready to receive him so, pay close attention to phone call messages minutes before is scheduled arrival time.

EVENT START & END:
Santa is timely and will always try to arrive at your location 15 minutes early, waiting his car (sleigh) then, make his entrance with jingling bells. It is appreciated if Santa has a parking spot very close to the entrance of your event. Do not have children come out to Santa. Be sure all pets are tucked away.

PERFORMANCE AREA:
Santa needs an area to sit no less than 4'x4'. Children may sit on the floor or in chairs outside this area but the primary area where Santa keeps his toy bag, props or other items needs to be kept clear where he can walk in, sit down and begin his visitation with your guests.

CHAIRS:
It will be your responsibility to provide the type of chair that Santa requires for his personal appearance. Failure to provide the proper chair as described may result in a much shorter visit. **(Unacceptable chairs are: couches, loveseats, overstuffed chairs, recliners, folding chairs, plastic lawn chairs or rocking chairs.) Instead, provide: a sturdy solid chair, made of hardwood or metal. The chair must hold Santa's weight as well as 2 children. It should support 500lbs, not 250 or 350. In short, if the chair wobbles or wiggles do not use it! Couches, recliners & loveseats are difficult to get down in and out of. They also make your photos look awkward, guests are perched, leaning in or out. Children on Santa's lap are too tall because Santa's knees are too high in a couch setting, Santa is hidden behind them. Just don't use couches, recliners or love seats.

ENTERTAINMENT:
Santa may read a story, sing, bring coloring sheets, decorate cupcakes/cookies with guests or visit. Santa does not allow guests to choose his entertainment type, he goes by feeling but he will always do his best to make it fun, interactive and memorable. When possible, Santa encourages adults to join the fun, be positive and encouraging of children's GOOD behavior. He prefers that parents do not use Santa to shame their children into obedience, instead, this is a time of personal reflection and children who are naughty do know that they have behavior mishaps. Santa and staff have had experience and find more success by loving them into wholeness, reinforcing & rewarding better personal accountability, behavior & wiser choices.

PORTRAITS:
You are welcome to have one child or two children sit on Santa's lap for portrait sessions. If you have a larger family, they're welcome to stand on each side of Santa or sit in front of him on the floor. **Due to insurance policies, Santa may not hold infants or babies under 2 years of age.

PETS:
Please secure your pets before Santa arrives. Pets are a common trip hazards for Santa & crew. Your entertainer has chosen NOT TO ALLOW pets on his lap. Due to the delicate specialty fabric and white fur trim on Santa's suit, he needs to keep it clean for his next event which immediately follows your own. Should there be a 'pet accident' or even a pet jumping-up on Santa's clothing with muddy paws, it often cancels his next event. For this reason, Santa asks you put your pets away before his arrival.

RESERVATION DATES AND PAYMENT:
Santa's staff will send you a price quote based upon your location and how far Santa needs to travel to attend your event. If you are outside Santa's Primary Service Area (Chehalis, WA) you will incur a travel fee. This is $50 per hour to cover expenses. Maximum travel distance for driving is 2.5 hours. Anything further than a 2.5 hour drive will require a hotel stay overnight. Santa is happy to prearrange for this and funds paid in full at the time of deposit.

ADDRESS ARRIVAL:
Santa Claus will arrive at the address that you originally input into your entertainer request reservation form. 🥺 PLEASE: make sure if you have made a mistake or you have changed the location of your event, THAT your VENUE ADDRESS has been updated! If Santa arrives at your booking address, you will still be charged.

⏩ Double check to make sure there's no typos in your address.
⏩ Double check to make sure North, South, East and West are correct. correct along with possible transposed house numbers.
⏩ Most importantly: street, avenue, road or court.
⏩ Make sure your home has physical numbers on it or your curb is painted at the roadside, mailboxes have your address on them.

Failure to follow any of these instructions can make for a mishap which can lead to a cancellation and upset guests.

SALES:
Please bear in mind that because holiday reservations happen very quickly and fill very quickly, once you've made your reservation if you cancel for any reason you will lose your full amount. In the event that you need to cancel but you would like to reschedule, Santa has no problem rescheduling if he hasn't available date and time. *All sales are final for seasonal reservations.

💵💰GRATUITIES:
It is not required nor expected however, if you feel that Santa has gone above and beyond and made your holiday magical, place your cash, check or gift card in a envelope so you may hand it to Santa on his way out the door, when exiting your event. Often times, Santa uses these funds to do his community service work when visiting shelters or performing holiday street giving services. If you would like your funds earmarked for that purpose, simply write on the envelope 'Street services.' this means Santa will use his best judgment in giving back to your local communities through those facing homelessness, those wanting gifts for their children, etc.

🎅 Santa prefers no mask but will wear a mask if requested.

🎄Some of our performers may have special needs such as fewer stairs or no stairs at all, need for ample lighting while reading gift tags, need for a sturdy chair, cold bottled water and restroom. Please be considerate when meeting your performer ahead of time. It's a good idea to call them directly before the day of your event to discuss ideas you may want to go over and to double-check arrival times and length of stay.

NEED TO CANCEL?
We understand, it happens. You will not lose any money if you cancel by telephone, email or in the reservation app 14 days prior to your event start date/time. Events canceled less than 14 days prior to event start date/time will lose the total price of the event. Christmas Eve & Christmas Day reservations are not-refundable once paid. All sales are final. Rescheduled dates/times are solely at the discretion of management. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone or entity when we have prior bookings or other planned obligations. If Santa is more than 1 hour late due to unforeseen circumstances, his management will contact the buyer to negotiate a partial or full refund based on mutual agreement.
