We are an Atlanta based cello duo that specializes in weddings and events around Georgia and surrounding states. We both play professionally and have had the honor of performing alongside artists such as Evanescence, Josh Groban, Lindsey Stirling and Rod Stewart just to name a few.
We know how much hard work and time is put into planning events. We take the time to communicate so every detail is addressed. We are very passionate about what we do and we are here to work with you to curate the perfect playlist for your event. We take pride in the lengths we go through for our clients as well as the daily effort we put into our craft to provide the highest quality musical performance.
Erica did a fantastic job at our event! She was very prompt and flexible with the needs of our event. Our event was outdoors and she was a trooper playing outdoors in 40 degree weather. Highly recommend !
A major thank you to Metro Cello Duo for providing beautiful string accompaniment for a piano acoustic recording I'm working through. Their work is pitch perfect, brilliantly executed and provides the rich tone of live instrumentation that always takes music to new heights.. We shall work on future projects now that I've found my 'Strings Team' :-)

Metro Cello Duo played for my wife's birthday. This is the best Cello Duo I have ever seen perform! They were very professional and arrived on time. It was very easy to book and played all our favorites. I can't recommend them enough!

We met in 2000 at All-State Orchestra. I was a Freshman in High School and Daniel was a Sophomore. We both studied in the cello studio of Martha Gerschefski and were members of the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra. Daniel was the principal cellist of the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra for the (phone number hidden)3 season and I followed in his footsteps a year later and was principal for the (phone number hidden)4 season.
After graduation, we both pursued a degree in cello performance in college. Daniel went to study with Andre Gaskins at Columbus State University for his undergrad and Southern Methodist University for his Masters where he studied with Andres Diaz. I went to Georgia State University and continued to study with Martha Gerschefski. After graduation, I started a wedding string trio business, and Daniel built an online cello teaching business ((link hidden)).
After graduation our paths continued to cross. We both performed in regional symphony orchestras and became interested in bluegrass music. During our free time on symphony gigs, we had bluegrass jam sessions. Over the years, we shared so many amazing musical experiences together such as performing with Josh Groban, Il Divo, Evanescence and Lindsey Stirling.
In March of 2020, our musical world was absolutely devastated. Events were canceled and we saw our work disintegrate around us. During this time, Daniel and I began to meet up and play duets together. We began to create unique classical, popular and bluegrass arrangements of familiar tunes for cello duo and solo cello. Next thing we knew, we started booking events together!
Aside from music, we both picked up playing billiards and chess. We are not pool sharks yet…but we are well on our way! We play in 3 local leagues a week and have high hopes to compete in Vegas soon.
