Michigan-based actress and soprano, Abigail Marie Baggott, who has been praised for her “wonderfully crafted theatrical characterizations and purity of vocal tone” (The Republic) performs actively throughout the United States.
Recent solo appearances include the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic’s “Joyful Holidays” concert, in which Abigail was the Featured Artist; Bach’s BWV 21 with the University of Maryland’s Bach Cantata Series; and the Michael W. Smith Benefit Concert at Wheaton College as the guest soloist. Most recent stage credits include: Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Cinderella (Rodgers & Hammerstein’s ‘Cinderella’), Serpetta (La finta giardiniera), the World Premiere of ‘Four Freedoms’ by Joseph C. Phillips Jr., La Messaggera (L’Orfeo), and Rosalinda (Die Fledermaus). She modeled for the 2020 summer line for Crystal Moon, including an exclusive appearance on 9&10 News, and represented Crystal Moon’s clothing line in the Fall 2019 edition of Traverse Bay Lifestyles Magazine. Abigail made her film debut in the 2015 independent feature ‘The Shattered Vial’, and continues to be a guest soloist to record on soundtracks, as well as on albums and singles.
Abigail holds a bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from Wheaton College (B.M.) and a master’s degree in Opera Performance from the University of Maryland through the Maryland Opera Studio (M.M.).
