Absolute Entertainment was started by Kaleb Penner in 2009 with the goal of providing clients with the most professional DJ experience in the Grande Prairie area. He endeavored to make every event a success by working with clients to complement their program to the best of his abilities. He built the company up to be one of the most recommended DJ and entertainment companies in the Peace Region of Alberta and British Columbia, Canada.

Amanda Stuhl’s love of music started when she was young. Her uncle used to constantly test her musical knowledge by playing a song and having her identify the title and artist. This skill came in useful later on when Amanda worked as a radio station DJ while attending university. She started working for Kaleb as a DJ in 2015 and worked her way up to manager in 2018. She accepted the offer to purchase the company and became the new owner in April of 2019.

What makes us unique?

Starlight LED Dance Floor: Absolute Entertainment has the only mobile LED dance floor north of Edmonton, which can be set up in any size up to 484 square feet (22’ x 22’). It is the perfect centrepiece for all occasions from weddings to corporate events. It transforms any dance area into a breath-taking display of lights, taking your event to the next level. The starlight dance floor adds elegance and class to any event. As well as a dance floor, it can be configured in many other ways. For example, it can be made into an aisle for a wedding ceremony, a runway for a fashion show, or a combination of a dance floor with an aisle.

DSLR Photo Booth: Our use of Canon DSLR cameras ensures quality that sets our results apart from the competition’s, and on-site printed classic photo strips or 4″ x 6″ postcards make the photo booth a massive hit at every event.
Outdoor Movie Theatre: Another unique offering is our outdoor movie theatre, which can also be brought indoors to a large enough space. It comes with a projector, Blu-Ray player, speakers, and options of a 15 or 30-foot wide inflatable screen, perfect for a backyard theatre or the ultimate gaming experience. It’s great for school, community, or corporate movie nights, or add our FM transmitter to turn it into a drive-in movie!

Professional Sound Technician: DJs have a wealth of musical knowledge. They can pull up almost any song within a few moments. But they don’t necessarily know sound, which means they might not know how to set up their speakers to ensure the entire room is covered, or how to set the mics to sound natural while avoiding feedback.

We are the only DJ company in the Grande Prairie area to employ a professional sound technician to do our setups, ensuring that every event has sound coverage at every table, while keeping most of the volume on the dance floor, if the layout allows. We are often complimented on the quality of the sound because the speeches are easily understood, sounding natural, not muffled or boomy, and without feedback (howling or squealing) in most cases (improper microphone usage can sometimes result in feedback, which our DJs will try to mitigate).
