studying different dance forms and traveling
all over the U.S. attending conferences.
Giselle was the co- founder of Crescent City
Choreographers (CCC) which was a performing
ensemble who seeks out talented dance
professionals throughout the southeast
Louisiana region. She co- choreographed
“Lasting Images” which was a dance
performance that premiered at Contemporary
Arts Center (CAC) in August 2010. Giselle was
in the musical play “Hairspray“ at LePetit and continues to perform in the
theatre adaptation of “Origins of Life“ which was the Big Easy Award winner

to dance for this 2011 Jazzfest and spring spotlight doing Hip-Hop and African
dance. Giselle also teaches a talented group of senior citizens called the
“Movers and Groovers” at the Economic Opportunity Center in Central City.
Alongside teaching senior citizens she also teaches a dance class for women
through-out the city called, “Sisters Making a Change.”
Giselle Nakhid will continue a life of dance, choreography, performance and
teaching. She hopes to develop her own programs geared toward helping
under privileged youth learn about art and positive expression. She will
maintain her work in her community teaching dance and movement to children,
adults and senior citizens.
