You can expect a professional band that sets up and is ready to play at a reasonable conversation-friendly volume at your chosen time, providing quality entertainment with a variety of rock styles and hits that all ages can appreciate. We will be friendly and interact with the audience (if it is appropriate). We can provide Master of ceremonies services, if needed. We have our own equipment and PA and can provide digital music during any band breaks (number of breaks determined by duration of event), in general, approximately 10 mins of break time for every 50 mins of performance, although we always arrange any break time to meet the needs of the client. You can expect us to break down in a timely manner. Most importantly, you can expect that you and your guests will be happy that you hired us!
AfterShock, born in 2013, but whose members have been musicians since their teen years with most having been working musicians most of their adult lives. We are a fun, happy-to-rock professional group whose love of music and enjoyment while performing a multitude of hits is infectious. Our five members have diverse tastes in music and we know our audience does, too. We play likable selections from most rock genres and all decades from 1960's to the current one and our goal is for our audience to dance, sing along or simply enjoy live music. With Sue as our lead vocalist, and Steve (S), Steve (M) and John each also singing leads and backup vocals, we are able to provide a pleasing and varied listening experience. Come on out to see us at our public shows or contact us to learn more about how we can meet your entertainment needs for your next event!
We provide all our own musical equipment including mics, PA and speakers.
We need access to electrical power (we have our own cords, power strips).
We have some band lighting but dark outdoor venues for nighttime events without any lighting whatsoever we need to discuss with client.
The entire band needs a firm, flat performance surface that is approximately 16 ft X 8 ft (this can be wood, gravel, pavement/asphalt, firm ground).
ONLY IF the performance area is on ground/grass: Drummer needs an area within that surface that is 6.5 ft long X 5.5 ft wide that is either wood platform, or plywood, or at least flat firm ground/grass that a carpet can be placed upon.
