All comics were very kind and it was very low hassle booking them. The openers started poorly and kept were needless explicit/graphic. As expected though, they progressively got better and the headliner did great.

AJ was excellent to deal with and very accommodating. Took into account the diverse crowd and there was a little something for everyone. People were raving days later what a great party and that the comedian put it over the top! Thank you AJ for being part and making our weekend a great success!

AJ, Nestor, and Josh surpassed our expectations and helped us all had a great night. They were able to incorporate some of their usual stuff with jokes that particularly revolved around our business, something unique that I didn't think could be done but was done at high levels.. Great laughs from great comedians doesn't get any better than that.

In this corporate event setting, AJ was performing for a "tough crowd," to say the least! Despite that, AJ was able to gauge what was needed and remind the group that it's okay to laugh!!! AJ was a great warm-up to the headliner.

AJ was great! He was so good to come to a last minute retirement party we were having. With hardly any time to prepare he did such a great job, he had the room laughing the whole time!

A.J. Hapenny and friends put on a great show for our guests! The small size of the audience didn't damper A.J.'s enthusiasm. He was professional, efficiently set up a "stage" in our tiny restaurant, and quickly engaged our guests by having them practice their best laugh!! The evening was wonderful, A.J., and friends entertained, and made us all laugh. There was Maine weather to contend with, but everyone left grinning at the end of the evening. Can't wait do have A.J. and friends again!

We were searching for something different for our wedding and found A.J. through a Google search that brought us to GigSalad. We had one Zoom call to get to know the details and each other around a year prior, and one touch base before the wedding. We had no idea what he was going to say, but trusted him completely and couldn’t wait for the ceremony.

To say that A.J. delivered is to put it generally and lightly. He has a gift for creating a perfect balance of “awe’s” and laughter. I was thrilled that I could comfortably be my awkward self without feeling like I was ruining a moment. The guests all loved it, they talked about it all night and for days after. Some asked that we renew our vows within a year’s time so we can do it all over again. We would in a heartbeat.

It’s so hard to pick comedians for an event, not knowing them prior. I pick based on reviews, and YES the reviews were super accurate. They were on time, professional, brought quality equipment and provided an experience expected from A-listers. We were so happy, we left a generous tip. They went above and beyond, exceeded expectations and very funny.

AJ is a great guy that will work with you to make sure you're getting a great experience! I liked that he had a lot of insight on what does and doesn't work so if you're unsure about any aspect of your event he'll know what to do but at the same time has a lot of flexibility. And even though my event was a lil unorthodox, when the event came along he killed it and I loved every second of it! Overall I think he's top notch and very personable and I'd highly recommend him to anyone booking a comedian.

I booked A.J. to host several shows for my company's virtual holiday event. We had 7 one-hour shows that showcased one headliner and two opening acts. Since 2020 hasn't been a 'normal year' having a comedian host a company event virtually is surely uncharted territory. He used both well-known and locally-known comedians that brought a well-rounded show to our employees. Since he was working with such a diverse group, A.J adjusted each opening show to fit each team (Engineers, Finance, HR, Marketing, Sales, etc) flawlessly. He wove in our company values, job titles, and industry field in his jokes. Having this great ability allowed our folks to better connect with A.J (and team) which lead to some really funny banter! One of our employees even attended in while on vacation in the Bahamas!! Impressive stuff, A.J! Thank you for all that you've done to make our employees laugh during an extremely difficult year.

We sold out a Valentine's Comedy Cancer Fundraiser and AJ was on the set. Such a professional. Super nice guy. I highly recommend.

I've booked A.J. for my wife's birthday party. I wanted to play some kind of a small performance to make my wife surprised and happy. She was! And A.J. helped me a lot. He was supposed to play a role of an italian mafia boss coming to our dinner with wishes and presents.

First of all, A.J. got into it very seriously. For the days we discussed every detail, and he added personally a lot. I trusted his actor experience, and it didn't fail. He was so convincing that everybody in the restaurant (where the performance occurred) decided like a real mafioso came in! My wife was just shocked. She suspected something, but nothing like this!

I want to thank A.J. for his actor talent, his charisma, his "real Italian accent", and his responsiveness from the outfit to the last word in the script.

I want to express my additional gratitude to A.J.'s "brother" that played his bodyguard. He looked really menacing.

I'd strongly recommend A.J. His a real talent.

This event was so much fun thank you guys!! I loved all of the personal interactions with the crowd! It was awesome to have the event in a high traffic area on campus, so everyone was there, and stopped by to enjoy the show! We hired AJ to officiate my little brother’s wedding. He was effortless to work with and had my sister in law in stitches while working with him over the details. My brother is from Georgia and naturally, getting married in New England meant for a little playful chirping during the ceremony. (Go Pats!) He was extremely competitive with his rate and worked out a payment schedule with us as we were planning on a budget.

We wanted to just have fun and enjoy ourselves, with an easy-going beach boho vibe. AJ was attentive and always available from start to finish. He knew how nervous we were about vows and really set us at ease and made it fun which helped with the jitters! Our day was perfect and we couldn't be more grateful!!

AJ was very patient with us, as we started our wedding a little late. He took the time to get to know us well before the wedding. It was straight to the point and he even tried to mix some of comedic energy into it. Would definitely recommend him for future soon-to-be’s.

There are those of us who prefer the comedy scene over the gym scene. This is an excellent way to burn a few calories and tighten up those abs. Don’t miss this guy if he’s coming to a town near you.

We booked A.J for our wedding, and it was one of the best decisions we made during the whole wedding planning process! This wasn’t your ordinary gig. First off, we hired A.J to be an MC at our wedding reception and our families are Russian and Cape Verdean, which might be intimidating to anyone, but A.J didn’t even flinch when I told him about the crazy cultural mixture! He was punctual, helpful, he ran the event 100% smoothly as an MC, he helped with the music as much as he could (we didn’t have a DJ because it was a really small wedding), he was hilarious but appropriate with kids being there, and he hyped up the whole event the entire time. I couldn’t be happier or more appreciative of all of his work!! If anyone was to ask me, I would say Book Him! And let me tell you this guy is hilarious! So comedy clubs book him!!! Just overall a great person and entertainer. Thank you for making our wedding so amazing :)

I thought they were super funny and I'm glad they were able to do in Spanish as well since half of our audience were Hispanic. They were also very responsive and accommodating to our needs.

My husband and I spent quite a while searching for an officiant to fit our very unique and offbeat wedding in a car museum. We wanted a ceremony that was personal and sentimental, but also full of laughter and fun.
