After a short hiatus, my brother Jim is back, playing the guitar while I am on the button box accordion. We play Irish and Scottish jigs, reels, and waltzes and many favourites for St. Patrick's celebrations (adding more all the time). In addition we play many popular Christmas songs. Based out of Providence, RI we like to play (but not limited to) are Rhode Island, central and eastern Connecticut and Massachusetts, and southern New Hampshire.
The Al McKay band played a St. Patrick's Day lunch at our Senior Center. They were terrific. They engaged with the seniors and they loved singing along. Al is easy to work with and prompt. We plan to have him back in the future!
Al and his brother were lovely and considerate. This was our first time having live music at our annual fundraiser and we had no idea how it would go, but everyone loved it. We would invite them back again in a heartbeat!
They were amazing they were on time. And great music always courteous great people to work with.
They communicated prior to the event, showed up on time, set up with minimal fuss, played good music for longer than they said and then packed up again with no disruption. I would hire these guys again, well worth the money!!
We really enjoyed having Al play at the St Paddy's Day Party we held at our private club in NH! There was excellent communication from start to finish, he was punctual, professional and talented! Not to mention it was a two hour ride each way for him. I would not hesitate to recommend Al for any event.
Al and Jim provided exceptional music which was enjoyed by all. They were patient throughout the sometimes noisy family event. They played requests at the end of the night, which brought this woman such joy. I can not recommend them highly enough.
the did amazing as always.
he was fantastic they had an amazing time !
We had a wonderful evening with Al, who played at our Wedding After Party. It was such a nice treat to have him there to play for us and accompany some of us who attempted to do a jig or two. His music was the perfect ending to our special Celtic Wedding Day. Al, Thank you so very much! Emily & Steve
We had a small “socially distanced” 50th anniversary party and Al’s music made it really special - authentic music played some song a long songs as well as instrumental. Great to work with, affordable and fun.
Al was a fun addition to our party - he was punctual and easy to communicate with and everyone really liked his music!

We sing and play Irish jigs, reels, polkas, etc, as well as traditional sing along songs. Plus a few Scottish waltzes and traditional Newfoundland music. Christmas music as well !!
We play Irish jigs, reels, polkas, and a few Scottish waltzes. Sing some favourite songs for Saint Patrick's Day, and traditional Newfoundland folk songs. A lot of Newfoundland music has Celtic roots so the music can played as sets of jigs and reels.
