Originally a DJ in Portland in the mid 2000s, Evan took a hiatus from the dance scene to focus on performing with several groups. In 2014, a friend who knew him from the PDX club scene asked Evan to fill in for a contract spot, leading Evan to rediscover his love of spinning tracks. Shortly after, Evan founded Alchemy with his wife, Whitney, and began to grow the business with the addition of several talented DJs and long time friends.
Since then, Alchemy has grown from a solo-act to an evolving team of over 30 DJs, Coordinators/Planners, Photobooth operators, Lighting designers, and event staff. Alchemy also has established relationships with other local event pros whom we regularly partner with, including Bartenders, Caterers, Venue Managers/Owners, Rental Vehicles, etc that we not only recommend, but use for our own events. From concept to execution, we are built on the belief that if it's not good enough for us, it ISN'T good enough for you.
