I put together bands to meet the needs of the event. As such, I can meet many different needs.

Need soft background music for an upscale event? I can provide solo piano music to create just the right atmosphere.
Need something with a little more energy? How about a jazz piano trio with drum and bass accompaniment to liven up the mood.
Want to put on a show and get people dancing? How about a 6 piece funk band playing modern hits from Michael Jackson and D'Angelo?

Alec Huntley is an esteemed jazz pianist and educator with a special love for the more accessible, groovy, and fun side of jazz. With a Doctor of Musical Arts in Performance Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas, Alec has carved a niche in both the academic and performance realms of jazz. His research on Vince Guaraldi’s musical style underscores his scholarly approach to jazz, while his teaching stints at North Central Texas College and the University of North Texas highlight his commitment to mentoring aspiring musicians.

Alec's performance career is marked by his versatility and depth, showcasing his talent across various stages. Notably, his work with the Dallas-based smooth jazz and soul group Fingerprints, and the Bay Area soul group The Anachronistics, illustrate his ability to seamlessly blend into diverse musical settings.

Now based in Los Angeles, Alec Huntley continues to enchant audiences with his performances, while also fostering the growth of his students through his private studio. His journey is a testament to his love for jazz and his pursuit of excellence in both performance and education.

Unless you happen to have an acoustic piano on site already, the only thing I need is electricity to power my keyboard and amp(s).
