My music style is Americana, Roots and Country. I play music from the 70's through today's current sounds. I don't like to limit myself with labels, though. I sing what makes me and my audience feel good!

If it was left to me, I would describe my act as a smorgasbord of entertainment. I sing, I play guitar and I sometimes tell a story or two. But it is never boring or repetitive. What happens is that I strap on my guitar and a party breaks out wherever I am!
I'm a late bloomer! My mom discouraged me from following my love of music. It took quite a while for me to shake off the shackles of corporate America and follow my dream of being a performer. In recent years, I have been a church musician, a worship leader, a wedding singer and a street performer (busker). My overwhelming love is for busking. It's an opportunity to play for people who stop and listen because they like the music. My life experiences have taken me to a career in sports medicine, covering both professional and amateur sports. But that was too "behind the scenes" for me. I love the spotlight and everything that involves. I'm constantly exploring new music, new instruments and refining my skills. Hopefully, that shows through in my performances.
My act is pretty self contained. I bring my own amp, my own pedals, my own mic and enough cable to connect to almost any sound system. If needed, I have my own PA that will effectively cover at least 250 in an outdoor setting. Indoors, in a more intimate setting, I am at home in front of few people or a full auditorium.
My main influences of my musical style are quite varied. Hubert Sumlin, Hank Williams Jr, Keb Mo', KT Tunstall, Bonnie Raitt, John Prine, Jimmy Buffett, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Eric Clapton, Joe Bonamassa, Jim Croce, Harry Chapin, and Vince Gill. Now, obviously, from all that, you can see that my style is pretty eclectic. I can tailor a set towardsmost any style but you can count on my Louisiana roots and love of country music to color everything I do!
Typically, I like about a 10x10 space with no thru traffic and a good electicity source. I travel with my own rig for most shows One amp, some effects pedals and a microphone. Anything beyond that is part of the negotiation process.
