Alexander Comninos

I offer an extensive and varied repertoire. This includes standard classical guitar music, Spanish and South American music (Samba, Bossa-Nova, Choro, etc.) as well as light classical arrangements of popular songs. Clients are welcome to discuss and suggest repertoire as they please.

Alexander Comninos is a professional classical guitarist from Cape Town, South Africa. He moved to Vancouver after completing his master's degree in music performance from the University of Cape Town. He now lives with his wife Chloe in Mount Pleasant, Vancouver where he runs his own private music teaching studio.

Alexander is an accomplished performer and has played on some of South Africa's most prestigious stages, including the Baxter Theatre, Casa Labia Cultural Centre, the Oude Libertas Amphitheatre, Brooklyn Theatre, and the Music Revival Festival held in Franschhoek. He has shared many of these stages with world-renowned and SAMA-winning guitarist, James Grace.

As an experienced performer, Alexander enjoys playing in a wide array of settings and has an expansive and varied repertoire to suit any occasion including weddings and private parties.

In his free time, Alexander enjoys working with other instrumentalists and musicians, analog photography, and cooking.

I have professional sound equipment for amplifying small to medium-sized venues. There are no requirements.
