Because of the extremely positive reviews, we booked Alexandra’s Ensemble (cello and two violins) for our wedding.

Before the event Alexandra worked with us to discuss the flow of events and selection of music – various classical choices and contemporary pieces.

We were very pleased with the four hours that the Ensemble played. It felt as if we had our own private concert. The music was enjoyed by all and at the end, all in attendance gave a long and appreciative round of applause.

Finally, because of covid concerns, we asked and received negative covid tests from the Ensemble, and they wore masks during the event. If concerned about covid vaccination status, be sure to inquire before contracting anyone.

Alexandra and her string quartet gave such a beautiful performance at our wedding yesterday. Everyone in their quartet is extremely talented and they made our day so special.

Alexandra and her ensemble were amazing. Our guests loved them and so did we. Alexandra was incredibly patient with us as we selected many items from her repertoire and even had one request that was special for us and her ensemble learned it and played it as well. The first half of the performance we chose from many classical selections--which really helped set the tone at first. Then, the ensemble segued into some familiar contemporary songs and it culminated in a processional number we chose--a "pop" number. The ensemble worked hard, showed up before the event, practiced, and started right on time. They were poised, friendly and competent! Many of them spoke Russian which for me, was an added plus because I lived in Russia for many years and know the calibre of musicians in general and the general attitude towards the culture and the arts. They were the utmost professionals and they added extra panache to our wedding! Needless to say I recommend them highly and if we ever have a party or event again, I will be sure to hire this ensemble again. By the way, they didn't mind at all heading over to Bergen County, NJ from Manhattan. Excellent!

I had the pleasure of working with Alexandra and her team! I hired her and a violinist for my wedding this past May and I was super happy I did. After having trouble with another musician not getting back to me, I was ecstatic that I found Alexandra, who is both an amazing musician (which is hard to find) and fabulous with her communication. She was very responsive by email and was very accommodating when we decided to switch from a string trio to a quartet not long before our wedding date. Alexandra played cello at a small personalized wedding in NY city for my friend. My experience with her was exemplary! From the onset she was very easy to work with. I booked her on short notice and she was very accommodating. She played as a solo cellist prior to the ceremony, during, and at the reception. EVERYONE was talking about her beautiful music as well as her presence. She is very beautiful to watch as she obviously LOVES to play and puts her heart and soul into it. Alexandra and her string quartet surpassed what I could have imagined for my wedding. The 2 songs we requested were performed to perfection. I can't say enough good things about Alexandra NYC Cellist and Strings. My husband and I were on the hunt for a band for his 50th birthday that would fit our venue (an restored large manor) and our crowd (ranging from 20-90yrs old). Alexandra NYC Cellist and Strings were a perfect compliment to such a diverse crowd and setting. Two weeks later, I am still getting guests complimenting the music.
Alexandra was fantastic to work with! She was quick to respond to any of my questions, willing to work with my personal requests and eased any concerns I had. The day of the party, they came right on time and their music was better than I could ask for! So much so, the venue owner asked me for their information for future events.

I contacted Alexandra to perform at my grandmother's funeral on Tues Nov 3 and I'm so grateful I did! In a time of sadness and grief, her music brought some peace to our hearts. There were about 75ppl in attendance at the wake in Corona Qns and I haven't stopped receiving compliments even 3 days later. The news of her performance travelled all the way to my family members in DR. People can't stop talking about it. Everyone said that they were so impressed with her music and with her instrument (cello) that now they all want that at their wake should they expire. I highly recommend her for all events and I look forward to working with her in the future! Even the funeral home plans to use her for their services. Alexandra performed Ave Maria and Over the Rainbow. Not only was the music beautiful but her facial expressions showed how much she herself was into the music. The entire performance was exceptional and I know my grandmother wldve appreciated it. Thank you Alexandra for everything.

Just wanted to let you know that on a scale of 5 stars, I would rate your professionalism and musicality 6 stars. When that gentleman tripped and fell during my daughter's wedding ceremony, as a musician all I heard was a cello breaking. Yet when I walked back to see what happened, all I saw and heard was concern over the man who had fallen. You gave no indication that anything was wrong with your instrument, and you continued to perform beautifully for the remainder of your gig. Thank goodness the gentleman was okay, but you--you helped to make my daughter's special day perfect in spite of the damage to your cello!

I hired Alexandra to record some parts for cello. She played wonderfully in tuned - something that is not always the case with string players and I was totally happy with her work she did for me. Alexandra was perfect. She provided 2.5+ hours of ear orgasm during the ceremony+cocktail parts of my wedding. I was so busy planning until the last minute. Our communication consisted of 2 phone calls and 2 rounds of emails, and we chatted twice during the event. When I showed up to the ceremony still finalizing event details, she was already there playing. It was the most hassle free aspect of the wedding. In terms of the quality of the service itself, it was perfect. She and her partner whose name I didn't even get a chance to catch blended into the venue and carried the event to a different league. I want to organize another even just to have Alexandra play in it.
