Alfred Yun is an in-demand pianist who has performed across the globe from South Korea to Boston and Washington DC. He has had the fortune of performing at festivals and venues like An Die Musik Live, Franklin Park Arts Center, Strathmore AMP, Mr. Henry's, Kennedy Center-REACH, and the Berklee College of Music. You can also find him playing at restaurants, wineries, and vineyards in the DMV area.
Recently, Alfred Yun was selected as an Artist-In-Residence at Strathmore for the year 2024.

Alfred was wonderful to work with. On very short notice he was able to work with our needs. We wanted a Bollywood piano playlist. Alfred worked to adapt songs that weren’t originally written for piano. He is so talented! He was able to create his own sheet music and alter existing sheet music to better fit the songs that we wanted. Our guests were blown away! It was absolutely magical.
Alfred was the perfect choice for our cocktail hour. Definitely would recommend him to anyone looking to elevate their event.

What to Expect
Alfred Yun’s music is always exciting and groovy. A fan of his trio once said, “it’s jazz with a kind of punk rock aesthetic!” One can expect to hear Thelonious Monk, Stevie Wonder and Chick Corea in their performances. Alfred Yun brings the same passion and energy to ballads, distilling the excitement into grace and warmth, channeling great pianists like Keith Jarrett, Fred Hersch, Hank Jones, and Bill Evans.

About
Alfred Yun has led groups at the Marriott Bethesda, Crystal Gateway Marriott, the Ronald Reagan Building, and the Embassy Suites International by Dulles Airport. Led groups at venues like An Die Musik Live, Strathmore AMP, Kennedy Center-REACH, Franklin Park Arts Center, Mr. Henry's, University of Maryland, and Berklee College of Music. As a sideman, he has performed at the Four Seasons DC, the Hay-Adams DC, and the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center.
Alfred Yun has had the fortune of performing at festivals like the KORUS Festival, Lake Anne Jazz Festival, Jazz in the Country Festival, Crossroads Festival, the Yellowdoor Concert Series, and Nowon Festival in Seoul, South Korea.
Alfred Yun has performed across the world: from Seoul to Boston and Washington DC. For several months, he has been leading a series of duos at Lake Anne Coffeehouse. He also performs regularly with his trio at Matchbox Silver Spring.
Additional Booking Notes
Alfred Yun can perform with either solo piano, duo, trio, or quartet depending on the event. The instrumentation can be flexible, ranging from vibraphones, saxophones, trumpet, guitar, and vocals. Price varies by event, distance, and instrumentation.
We can bring our own PA and instruments — just need a backline!
