As seen on Just For Laughs, CBC's New Wave of Stand-Up, the Halifax Comedy Festival, and heard on CBC's Laugh Out Loud, my stand-up is witty and self-deprecating, telling hilarious and vulnerable stories about relationships, family, scammers, mental health, and more.
I've performed at a range of corporate events, including insurance conferences, workplace retreats, parties, and weddings. I'm happy to tailor my material as needed (i.e. corporate clean, family-friendly, PG-13, etc.)
I'm based in Toronto, but regularly tour across Canada, often producing my own shows but also working with established brands such as Yuk Yuks and Don't Tell Comedy.
I've not seen many comedians better at reading the vibe of a room and matching it (all while making it look totally effortless) than Alistair Ogden, who I saw perform in Toronto on August 26, 2024. It takes a ton of work to seem casually funny, but that's exactly what he does — he makes it look easy, but it's clear by the complexity and depth to his jokes that it's anything but. He's a true comedic talent, and Toronto is lucky to have him honing his craft in our city.

My stand-up is self-deprecating and confessional, showing the audience the funny side of relationships, financial hardship, mental health, ADHD, and various other unfortunate and embarrassing life events. I can cater my jokes to most audiences (i.e. family friendly, corporate clean, PG-13, R-rated) as necessary. I'm also happy to write jokes specific to your event/business (in fact I quite enjoy it), provided I'm given enough info beforehand. If you'd like, I can incorporate audience participation (i.e. crowdwork) into my set, or if you'd rather I just stick to the jokes, that's fine too!
