I provide musical support at services and events on the Great Highland Bagpipe and the Scottish Smallpipes. Wakes, Weddings, Funerals, retirement ceremonies, birthday parties, baptisms, anything that you would need bagpipes for.
Andrew arrived early to practice and warm up in another room. The echoing sound exited the residents. He was very good, explained some history and even played a few songs requested by the residents. His performance made the event a success! Thank you Andrew! We will love to have him visit the community again in the future.
Andrew O'Sullivan is an excellent Bagpiper, very proficient on the instrument and courteous and professional as well. We would recommend him for any occasion.
My wife and I hired Andrew for our wedding both for the Ceremony and for piping the cocktail hour. From playing all our recessional / processional requests to the delightful selection he put together for the cocktail hour for counties appropriate to our family's heritage, the lovely music he provided made our wedding truly something special! An amazingly talented piper, I'd recommend Andrew to anyone!
Very happy with Andrew’s performance. He was on time. All the guests enjoyed him as well.
Andrew was on time, did a wonderful job, and had great suggestions for my fathers funeral service.
Andrew was very professional and very punctual for the funeral of my 102 year old uncle in Portland ME. All the people attending at the funeral home and cemetery were great moved by Andrew’s bagpipe playing. We were appreciative of his talents.
Andrew played for our dad’s memorial on a small island in Maine. Despite the threat of a hurricane, Andrew braved the (small) ferry and played Dad to his final rest in the rain. It was very beautiful and moving-everything we hoped for. And he entertained ferry passengers coming and going as well :-)
Andrew played at my sons wedding and it was a fantastic experience. He was on time and played exactly the songs that our new Scottish in-laws requested. He is reliable punctual and open to suggestions. I recommend him highly

You can expect a smart looking, good sounding bagpiper that can perform at a myriad of events that include Weddings, funerals, baptisms, birthday parties, retirement parties, memorial services, or any type of event where you think you would need a bagpiper.
Hello!
I have been playing the Great Highland Bagpipes since 2005. I started with the Pipes & Drums of the Atlantic Watch and currently play with Catamount Pipe Band in Vermont. While I was in college, I took lessons under Iain MacHarg and was the Pipe Major of the Norwich University Pipes & Drums. During my time at Norwich, I served as the Regimental Piper for the Corps of Cadets and played at many events that included memorial ceremonies, military balls, and other ceremonies for the Corps. I graduated from Norwich in 2015 with a BS in Civil Engineering
I currently live in Freehold, NJ and have a deep interest in piping and other aspect of Gaelic culture.
The Great Highland Bagpipes are a loud instrument, so they do not need a microphone most of the time. The Highland bagpipes are better suited for an outdoor environment, but they can be played indoors (it's just very loud).
