Ana Colesnicov is a professional opera singer from Moldova. Beginning at age of 6, she studied classical piano for eleven years. She also practiced classical dance and soon after ballroom dancing, in which she acquired first place at various competitions. She earned her BA in Opera Singing at the Conservatory of Chisinau in Moldova. During her studies at the conservatory, Ana won first place at republican voice competitions as well as performed multiple times at the Organ Hall, Philharmonic Hall, National Library, and other major venues. For 8 years, she studied opera singing with soloist of the National Opera Theater and Honored Artist of Moldova, Ivan Cvasniuc. She also participated in different master classes in Italy, Romania, and Spain. After finishing her studies, she moved to Italy where she became a semi-finalist of the Anita Cerquetti competition in 2013. In Italy she began to write and produce pop songs in English, Italian, and Spanish for herself and other performers, her voice and songs are in soundtracks for Italian movies. In 2017, Ana moved to Los Angeles where she continues to pursue her passion for arts, spirituality, and most importantly, her passion for singing opera. Since living in Los Angeles, she has performed in many festivals and concerts in Hollywood as well as performed the role of Juliet in Santa Monica College Opera Theatre’s production of Gounod’s “Romeo et Juliet. Ana performed the role of Maguelonne in SMC Opera Theatre’s production of “Cendrillon” by Pauline Viardo, at The Broad Stage on December 11th, 2021. On 21st May Ana debuted with the leading role of Rosalinda in SMC Opera production of “Die Fliedermaus” on the Broad Stage. Also in May she appeared in 8 shows as Matilda’s friend in the LAOpera Connects production of “On Golden Mountain “ by Nathan Wang, where she also helped the community choir. In June, Ana performed the role of Frasquita, in three shows with Landmark opera company production of Carmen. During 2022 Ana has participated in Vincero Academy program to study the roles of Adina and Mimi with Abdiel Vasquez and legendary Joan Dorneman. Ana debuted at Carnegie Hall on 17th January 2023, singing 3 scenes from “La Boheme” as Mimi.
In November 2024 she debuted woth the role of Constance in the “Dialogues of the Carmelites” at SCUN Opera Theater.
Ana is a very positive and passionate person. Her biggest dream is to touch as many hearts as she can, with her beautiful voice.
